PNY announced dual-slot slim models for NVIDIA's RTX 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070 GPUs at CES 2026, targeting small form factor PC builders. The cards launch in February 2026 through Best Buy, Amazon, and other retailers.
The GeForce RTX 50 Series Slim lineup delivers full Blackwell architecture performance in compact dual-slot designs. PNY positions these as alternatives to NVIDIA's Founders Edition cards, which also use dual-slot cooling but represent a minority in the third-party market.
RTX 5080 Slim measures 11.8 x 5.9 x 1.6 inches (300 x 150 x 40mm), while RTX 5070 Ti Slim comes in at 11.4 x 5.9 x 1.6 inches (290 x 150 x 40mm). The RTX 5070 Slim is the most compact at 11.4 x 5.0 x 1.6 inches (290 x 128 x 40mm). All three models feature true two-slot designs rather than the 2.5 or three-slot configurations common among other board partners.
Cooling relies on two 120mm fans, a vapor chamber, and aluminum backplates. PNY claims ultra-quiet operation despite the slim profile. The company offers both standard and overclocked variants, with OC models featuring modest factory boosts.
RTX 5080 Slim OC runs at 2,730MHz versus the reference 2,617MHz. RTX 5070 Ti Slim OC reaches 2,572MHz compared to 2,452MHz reference. RTX 5070 Slim OC hits 2,587MHz against 2,512MHz baseline. These overclocks suggest thermal headroom exists within the compact design.
PNY's announcement addresses a market gap for high-performance GPUs in space-constrained builds. Most third-party RTX 50 series cards from manufacturers like MSI, Gigabyte, and ASUS use larger 2.5 or three-slot coolers, limiting compatibility with compact cases.
The company cites mATX motherboard compatibility and small form factor environments as primary use cases. PNY's VelocityX software provides clock tuning and fan control customization for users seeking optimized performance.
Pricing remains unannounced, though industry analysts expect premium positioning given the specialized design. Volatile memory pricing driven by AI demand adds uncertainty to final costs. The February 2026 release aligns with typical post-CES product availability cycles.
Small form factor PC builders gain expanded options with PNY's slim models. The dual-slot approach maintains compatibility with mainstream cases while delivering RTX 50 series performance previously requiring larger cooling solutions.
