LG Electronics unveiled its 2026 OLED lineup at CES today, headlined by the return of the ultra-thin Wallpaper TV. The LG OLED evo W6 measures just 9mm thick and features true wireless connectivity through a separate Zero Connect Box.

The Wallpaper TV revives LG's 2017 design concept with significant upgrades. Its 9mm profile, thinner than a pencil eraser, eliminates visible cables through wireless transmission up to 10 meters. Only a single power cable connects directly to the display.

Hyper Radiant Color Technology delivers the W6's visual performance. Brightness Booster Ultra achieves luminance levels 3.9 times higher than conventional OLED panels, according to LG's internal measurements. The screen earned Intertek's Reflection Free Premium certification for reduced glare.

LG's α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen3 powers the new display with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that is 5.6 times more powerful than previous generations. The Dual AI Engine processes noise reduction and detail enhancement simultaneously rather than sequentially.

Gaming features include 4K 165Hz refresh rate, 0.1ms pixel response time, and support for NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium. Auto Low Latency Mode automatically adjusts settings for responsive gameplay.

The Gallery TV series receives museum-curator enhancements to compete directly with Samsung's Frame TV. Magnetic frame-like bezels and anti-reflective screens optimize art display in Gallery Mode. Mini LED panels prevent burn-in issues that affect OLED in static image scenarios.

Micro RGB technology debuts as LG's Mini LED evolution, offering expanded color range on 100-inch demonstration units. The technology builds upon Mini LED foundations rather than competing with premium Micro LED displays.

All 2026 OLED evo models inherit the Wallpaper TV's Hyper Radiant Color Technology. G6 and C6 series receive brightness and HDR improvements, with G6 models showing noticeable picture enhancements over previous generations.

AI integration expands through Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot access via voice commands. Voice ID recognition switches home screens based on speaker identification, while the Gallery+ service offers over 4,500 visuals including AI-generated images.

LG Shield security, a CES 2026 Innovation Award winner, protects user data across the AI ecosystem. The system employs advanced encryption for personalized experiences without privacy concerns.

"The Wallpaper TV represents the beautiful convergence of our True Wireless leadership, form factor innovation and 13 years of OLED mastery," said Park Hyoung-sei, president of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company.

Pricing remains undisclosed for the W6 Wallpaper TV, available in 77-inch and 83-inch sizes. The display targets design-conscious consumers seeking minimalist home theater installations with maximum wireless flexibility.

LG celebrates 13 consecutive years of OLED market leadership with the 2026 lineup. LG Electronics reported annual global revenues exceeding $60 billion, according to company disclosures.

CES attendees can experience the Wallpaper TV and full OLED evo lineup at LG's booth (#15004, Las Vegas Convention Center) from January 6-9. The company maintains its position against Samsung's Frame TV while advancing wireless display technology.
