Can’t find your phone’s Wi-Fi Calling switch? On iPhone, it’s under cellular settings; on Android, the location depends on your phone and carrier. Use the path for your device below, and repeat the change for every active SIM to disable Wi-Fi Calling on each line.

Turn off Wi-Fi Calling on iPhone

Open Settings, then tap Cellular. For a Dual SIM iPhone, select the line under SIMs. Tap Wi-Fi Calling, then turn off Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone.

Repeat for your other line if you use two SIMs. If you can’t find the control there, turn off Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone under Settings > Apps > Phone > Wi-Fi Calling.

On Samsung Galaxy, start with Connections

Supported Galaxy phones put the switch in connection settings. The Phone app provides another route on carrier configurations that include that control.

Open Settings and select Connections. Tap Wi-Fi Calling, then turn the switch off.

If that control is missing, open Phone. Tap More options, the three-dot button, then select Settings. Turn off Wi-Fi Calling.

Use the Pixel and standard Android SIM route

Follow these steps on Pixel and Android phones with this SIM settings layout; for different manufacturer or carrier menus, use the brand-specific sections below.

  1. 1.Open Settings.
  2. 2.Tap Network & Internet.
  3. 3.Select SIMs.
  4. 4.Choose your carrier SIM.
  5. 5.Tap Wi-Fi calling.
  6. 6.Turn off Use Wi-Fi calling, or the Wi-Fi calling switch on other Android phones.

Find Motorola’s calling switch

On the Motorola edge 60 fusion running Android 16, open Settings. Tap Network & internet, then select SIMs & mobile network. Tap your SIM name, open Wi-Fi calling, and turn the switch off.

On Motorola phones with the alternative system layout, open Settings, then tap Network & internet. Select Mobile network and select your SIM if prompted. Open Wi-Fi calling and turn the switch off.

Tip: On the edge 60 fusion with Android 16, carriers that put the control in the Phone app use Phone > More options > Settings > Calling accounts > your SIM > Wi-Fi calling, where you can turn the switch off.

Locate the switch on another Android brand

Match the instructions to your model and software. These paths apply to the configurations named here; a brand name alone doesn’t establish the menu layout.

On supported ASUS phones, open Settings > Network & internet > Internet > your SIM’s settings icon > Wi-Fi calling. Turn off Use Wi-Fi calling.

For the POCO X7 Pro, go to Settings > Mobile networks > your SIM. Turn off Make calls using Wi-Fi.

On supported Sony Xperia phones running Android 12 or later, open Phone > ⋮ Menu > Settings > Calling accounts > your SIM > Additional settings > Wi-Fi Calling. Turn the switch off.

For the OPPO A6 Pro 5G running Android 16, open Settings > Mobile network > your SIM name > Wi-Fi Calling. Turn off Wi-Fi Calling.

On the OnePlus Nord N30 5G, open Settings > Mobile network > SIM info & settings > Wi-Fi Calling. Turn off Wi-Fi Calling.

For vivo phones with the Android 15 layout, open Settings > SIM card & mobile network > SIMs > your calling SIM > Wi-Fi Calling. Turn off Wi-Fi Calling.

On HONOR phones with the Android 14 layout, go to Settings > Mobile network > Mobile data > Wi-Fi Calling. Turn off Wi-Fi Calling.

For Huawei phones with the EMUI 14 or 15 layout, open Settings > Mobile network > SIMs > Wi-Fi Calling. Turn off Wi-Fi Calling.

On the HMD Pulse Pro 4G running Android 15, open Phone > the menu icon > Settings > Calling accounts > your SIM name > Wi-Fi calling. Turn off Use Wi-Fi calling.

If these menus don’t match your phone or the switch is absent, ask your carrier where to find the Wi-Fi Calling control for your exact model. Availability depends on the phone and carrier.

Check what the other calling controls change

Turning off Wi-Fi connectivity leaves the Wi-Fi Calling preference unchanged. On iPhone, tapping Wi-Fi in Control Center only disconnects temporarily, and connections can resume automatically. A preference for cellular calling still allows fallback to Wi-Fi.

Apple’s Wi-Fi Calling switch under Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services controls location sharing. The cellular-line switch controls the calling feature.

To stop extended Wi-Fi Calling on supported Apple companion devices, turn off Add Wi-Fi Calling For Other Devices under Settings > Apps > Phone > Wi-Fi Calling. This carrier-dependent control leaves the iPhone’s own Wi-Fi Calling setting separate.

To stop all companion calling, turn off Allow Calls on Other Devices under Settings > Apps > Phone > Calls on Other Devices, then turn off each device in the list. This also stops ordinary iPhone call relay. For a complete shutdown, also turn off Add Wi-Fi Calling For Other Devices where it’s offered, as described above.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I stop iPhone calls on just my iPad?

Yes. On an iPad with this control, turn off Calls from iPhone under Settings > Apps > FaceTime. This stops carrier calls from your iPhone. Ordinary FaceTime calls remain separate.

Can I switch off Wi-Fi Calling through Google Fi?

On supported Android phones, open the Google Fi app. Tap the Profile picture for the user whose setting you want to change. Scroll to Phone settings. Open Wi-Fi calling. Turn the switch off.

Does Google Voice’s Use carrier only setting turn off Wi-Fi Calling?

Use carrier only changes how Google Voice makes and receives calls when you have a linked carrier number. Your phone’s carrier Wi-Fi Calling setting stays separate, and carrier-routed Google Voice calls can still use carrier Wi-Fi Calling.

Does the POCO dialer code turn Wi-Fi Calling off?

For the POCO X7 Pro, Xiaomi provides *#*#869434#*#* to expose a missing option. The code itself is not an off command. Enter it in the dialer. Open Settings > Mobile networks > your SIM. Turn off Make calls using Wi-Fi.
