Your Amazon Wish List is ready, but you still need to get it to friends or family. You can send a viewing link from Amazon’s website or Shopping app, including by email or text. Want someone to help change the list? There’s a separate permission for that.
Share your Wish List from the Amazon website
This gives recipients a link to view your list without editing it. You can share from a desktop browser without installing or downloading anything.
Sign in to your Amazon account, then open Account & Lists. Choose Your Lists and select the Wish List you want to share.
Click Invite, then choose View only. Copy the generated invitation link and paste the link into your message, email, or social post.
Send or publish it so your recipients can open the list. The generated link can also go into another app of your choice. Sharing it through social media uses the same invitation link you copied from Amazon.
Use the Amazon Shopping app to share your list
Open your Wish List in the Amazon Shopping app through the person icon, labeled Me, then Lists. Some layouts label this entry Your Lists.
Choose Invite > View only for a link that lets recipients view the list without changing it. Copy the generated invitation link, then paste it into the message or post you want to share.
Find the list or invitation control in another menu
Amazon’s app layouts put list access and invitation controls in different places. For the menu route, tap the three-horizontal-lines menu, then choose Lists in the US layout, or Your Stuff > Your Lists in the UK layout.
These routes reflect the layouts in Amazon’s US and UK instructions. The route available to you depends on your storefront and app interface.
Open the intended list and select Invite when it appears on the list. For the overflow-menu route, open the list’s three-dot menu, then select Invite to list to reach the invitation options.
Send an invitation by email or text
These options send your list invitation directly by email or text. Open the Wish List you want to share and select Invite. Choose View only to let the recipient see the list without changing it.
For email, select Email. This action is also labeled Invite by email in some interfaces. Address the email to your recipient, complete the message, and send the email.
For text instead, select Text Message when that option appears in the invitation controls. The Text Message option mainly appears in the mobile app. Choose the recipient, then send the text message. If the delivery option you need isn’t there, copy the generated invitation link and paste it into your email or messaging app.
Give someone permission to edit the list
Use editing access when you want someone to help change the list. For friends or family who just need to see what you want, stick with View only.
Open the list you want to collaborate on and select Invite. Choose View and edit. This gives invitees permission to change the list. Choose your recipients with that editing access in mind, then send the invitation using the generated link or an available email or text option.
