Your Snapchat Streak has disappeared, and you want that count back. Snapchat lets you restore eligible, recently expired Streaks in the mobile app, with one free restore per account. Start with the affected Chat, then work through the options below if the restoration gets stuck.

Restore your Streak from the Chat screen

Start here for an eligible one-on-one or group Streak on iOS or Android. You do not need Snapchat+.

Open Snapchat’s Chat screen. Find the affected conversation, then tap Restore beside it.

Complete the instructions shown. Each account receives one free Streak Restore; after that, additional restores require an in-app purchase.

Review the displayed price before authorizing payment. Snapchat does not publish one universal price.

If this fails, open the affected conversation and use its Streak restoration prompt. If neither route works, try the app troubleshooting below, then submit a restoration request to Snapchat Support.

Use your Snapchat+ monthly restore

Open My Account in Snapchat. Tap your Snapchat+ membership card, then select Streak Restore.

Choose a recently expired Streak to restore. Use your one included restore before your subscription anniversary day, when the monthly allowance resets, because unused restores do not accumulate and additional restores require an in-app purchase.

Bring back multiple Streaks on iPhone

Restore All brings back several eligible, recently expired Streaks together on iOS. Find the affected conversations displaying Restore in your Chat feed. Tap one Restore button.

Choose Restore All, then tap Restore. Complete the instructions shown. If Restore All is absent, use each eligible Chat’s individual Restore button.

Check what a missing Restore button means

No Restore button means in-app restoration is unavailable for that Streak. Some Snapchat help pages describe this control as a fire emoji button next to the Chat, so check for either before concluding the Streak is ineligible. Snapchat only restores eligible, recently expired Streaks and does not publish a universal deadline measured in hours or days.

For a recently expired Streak with no app option, Snapchat’s support flow allows a review request. That request does not guarantee recovery.

A missing count or emoji alone does not establish that your Streak expired. Some regional or app experiences hide those indicators while daily Snaps keep the Streak active.

Get a stuck restoration screen working

Update Snapchat to the latest version offered by the App Store, Google Play Store, or Amazon Appstore. Reopen Snapchat, then retry the affected Chat’s Restore control.

If the control still will not respond, completely close Snapchat. Open Snapchat again, then retry Restore.

If the problem continues, restart your device. Reopen Snapchat. Retry Restore.

If restoration will not load, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. Try Restore again on the other connection. Keep eligibility in mind: these steps address app or connection problems, but they do not extend the restoration window.

Ask Snapchat Support to restore it

When in-app restoration fails, open Snapchat Support’s I lost my Streak. How do I restore it? page in a mobile or desktop browser. Select this form under the failed in-app restoration guidance. The alternative entry point is Submit a request to restore your Streak in the Streak support flow.

Complete Your email address, Username, Email, Mobile Number, and Chat Type. Enter Friend’s Username (limit 1 per submission) for a one-on-one Streak, or Group Chat Name when applicable. Explain the lost Streak and your restoration attempt in Description.

Follow the form’s submission instructions. This sends a request for review; it does not guarantee restoration. If the request leaves a paid restoration unresolved, use the escalation below. For another Streak problem, use the final filling out this form link under I need help with a different issue not listed here. in the Streak support flow.

Resolve a paid restoration that did not arrive

This addresses a paid restoration that has not delivered your Streak. On Android, open the Google Play Store. Tap your profile picture, then open Payments & subscriptions.

Select Budget & history. Check whether the restoration purchase completed. If payment completed but the restoration did not appear, open your device’s Settings.

Select Apps or Manage applications, depending on your device. Select Snapchat. Tap Force stop. Reopen Snapchat.

Check whether the purchased restoration was delivered. For an unresolved paid restoration on iOS or Android, open Snapchat’s Streak support flow. Find I paid to restore my Streak, but it didn’t work. First use Submit a request to restore your Streak.

If the Streak remains unrestored despite meeting the criteria, select filling out this form in the paid-restoration guidance. Provide the requested account and contact information. Complete the applicable fields, including Date of Attempted Streak Restoration, Your Friend’s Username (limit 1 per submission), Streak Length, and Description. Follow the form’s submission instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Instant Streaks recover my old Streak count?

No. Instant Streaks creates a one-day Streak rather than recovering your previous count.

Can Snapchat’s Support Bot restore my Streak?

The Support Bot offers troubleshooting and can create a support request when more help is needed. Snapchat’s Support Bot documentation does not describe the bot restoring Streaks directly. To contact it, select the yellow question-mark button at the bottom of Snapchat’s Support Site, explain the problem, and answer its follow-up questions.

How do I report a broken restoration feature?

Open My Account. Tap the gear icon to open Settings. Under App & Privacy, select Support & Safety. Open Bugs and Suggestions. Select Report a Bug and follow the prompts. A bug report flags the feature problem; it does not submit a Streak restoration request.

What if a parent must approve my paid restore?

For Apple Ask to Buy, send the purchase-approval request when prompted. Your parent or Family Sharing organizer can open it from the notification or Messages, approve it, and authenticate. For Google Play parental authorization, your parent reviews the request, enters their Google Account password on your device, and taps Approve. Approval permits payment but does not override Snapchat’s restoration eligibility.
