Clash Royale has no native Mac release, so getting it onto your screen takes a different route. With a compatible phone, you can control the game through iPhone Mirroring or scrcpy. Start with the setup that matches your phone, then explore display-only options, account transfers, and alternatives.

Start with iPhone Mirroring

Clash Royale doesn't appear as a native Mac download because its App Store listing supports iPhone and iPad, without listing Mac compatibility.

For iPhone Mirroring, you need macOS 15 or later, an Apple silicon or T2 Mac, and an iPhone running iOS 18 or later that is set up with a passcode. Both devices must use the same Apple Account with two-factor authentication. The feature is unavailable in the European Union.

Install Clash Royale on your iPhone from its App Store listing. The game itself requires iOS 14 or later, but mirroring needs iOS 18 or later.

Enable Wi-Fi on both devices, then enable Bluetooth on both devices. Stop any active AirPlay, Sidecar, or Internet Sharing session on your Mac before starting iPhone Mirroring.

Leave your iPhone nearby and locked. Open iPhone Mirroring from the Dock, Applications, or Spotlight, then complete the authentication prompts.

Click Clash Royale on the mirrored screen. Your Mac's mouse or trackpad supplies touch input, while the game runs on your iPhone. To resize the window, choose View > Larger, Actual Size, or Smaller. To disconnect, unlock your iPhone or quit iPhone Mirroring.

If multiple eligible iPhones are nearby, select the one containing your game under System Settings > General > AirDrop & Continuity > iPhone on macOS 26.4 or later. On earlier versions, use System Settings > Desktop & Dock > iPhone.

For quicker launches on macOS Tahoe 26 or later, enable iPhone Apps under System Settings > Spotlight. With mirroring configured, open Clash Royale through Spotlight.

Connect an Android phone with scrcpy

Have an Android phone? scrcpy lets you control it from an Intel or Apple silicon Mac, with the game running on the phone.

Your phone must meet Clash Royale's device requirements. scrcpy requires Android 5 or later; audio forwarding requires Android 11 or later.

Install the matching Mac build using the official scrcpy macOS instructions. If you already have Homebrew, run brew install scrcpy in Terminal instead.

If adb is absent, run brew install --cask android-platform-tools in Terminal. Enable USB debugging on your Android phone, then connect the phone to your Mac with a USB cable. Authorize the connection on your phone.

Run scrcpy in Terminal to open the phone's screen on your Mac. Open Clash Royale in the mirrored window.

On Xiaomi devices that require an additional control permission, enable USB debugging (Security Settings). Restart the Xiaomi phone after enabling that permission.

For wireless use, connect your Mac and phone to the same network. With the authorized phone initially connected by USB, run scrcpy --tcpip in Terminal. scrcpy configures the network connection automatically.

Display the game through AirPlay

AirPlay puts Clash Royale on your Mac's screen while you keep playing on your iPhone or iPad. Your Mac's mouse and keyboard do not become game controls.

Apple's standard requirements for AirPlay to Mac are compatible hardware and macOS 12 or later. Older Macs, iPhones, iPads, and operating systems can still AirPlay to a Mac at lower video resolutions when AirPlay Receiver is turned on and the adjacent Allow AirPlay for menu is set to Everyone or Anyone on the Same Network.

On your Mac, enable AirPlay Receiver under System Settings > General > AirDrop & Continuity. Some earlier versions call that pane AirDrop & Handoff. On macOS Monterey, use System Preferences > Sharing > AirPlay Receiver.

Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network. On your iPhone or iPad, select your Mac under Control Center > Screen Mirroring.

Open Clash Royale on the mobile device. Play using its touchscreen while your Mac displays the gameplay.

Bring your existing progress with you

A separate game installation needs the Supercell ID linked to your progress to retrieve that account. On the device containing your progress, open Clash Royale > Settings > Supercell ID. Complete registration if you haven't already linked the account.

On the other installation, choose Log in, then enter the same email address. Enter the verification code sent to that address. Select Remember me on this device to save the login.

Mirroring your existing phone already uses that phone's game account. There's no progress transfer to handle just to display or control it from your Mac.

Understand the emulator tradeoff before installing

Third-party emulator vendors advertise Clash Royale for Apple silicon Macs without a physical phone. Supercell's Terms of Service prohibit emulator use and allow revocation of access for violations, so vendor compatibility does not establish Supercell approval.

BlueStacks advertises Clash Royale support through BlueStacks Air on M1, M2, M3, and M4 Macs. Its published requirements specify macOS 11 or later, at least 8 GB of RAM, and 12 GB of free storage; 16 GB of RAM is recommended.

If you accept that account risk, download BlueStacks Air from the official Mac product page. Open the downloaded installer and click Continue. Complete the installation prompts.

Launch BlueStacks Air and open Store. Find Clash Royale, then open its game tile.

Click Install. Complete the Google Play sign-in if prompted, then open Clash Royale from Air's home screen.

Press Shift+Tab to display the game's configured controls. Press Fn+F to enter fullscreen.

Skip old BlueStacks 4 for Mac tutorials. That version is no longer supported, and BlueStacks directs eligible Mac users to Air.

Use an existing Windows gaming PC remotely

Chrome Remote Desktop gives your Mac remote access to the official Windows release on a separate eligible PC. Install Google Play Games on the Windows computer from Google's download page. It is a Windows application; its website does not offer a native macOS game or browser-play version.

Install Clash Royale through Google Play Games on that PC. Open Chrome Remote Desktop in Chrome on the Windows PC. This uses general remote access, not a dedicated Clash Royale streaming feature.

Select the download control under Set up Remote Access, then complete the remote-access setup prompts. Open Chrome Remote Desktop in current Chrome on your Mac.

Select Access and choose your Windows computer. Enter its PIN to connect. Open the Windows computer's installed Clash Royale through Google Play Games.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Macs support AirPlay as a receiver?

Apple lists iMac Pro, Mac mini models from 2020 onward, and other Mac models from 2018 onward, running macOS 12 or later. Standard sender requirements include iPhone 7 or later with iOS 14 or later, or a supported iPad with iPadOS 14 or later.

Can I use a cable to display my iPhone's gameplay on my Mac?

Yes. Connect the iPhone to your Mac. Open QuickTime Player. Choose File > New Movie Recording. Open the Capture Device Selection Menu. Select your iPhone under Camera. Open Clash Royale on the phone and play there while viewing it on your Mac. Recording is optional; QuickTime does not provide Mac input control.
