Deleting the Roblox app doesn't delete your account. You can request account deletion through Roblox settings, or use Roblox Support if you cannot sign in. You'll need a verified email address and identity verification for the settings route, so expect more than a single tap.

Delete your account through Roblox settings

Removing the app leaves your account in place because account deletion requires a request to Roblox.

These settings instructions apply to the Roblox website and mobile app. Roblox does not specify a minimum app version or confirm equivalent account-deletion menus in native console or VR apps.

On the Roblox website, sign in to your account.

Select the upper-right gear icon.

Select Settings.

On the mobile app, start by opening More instead.

Tap Settings.

From here, both routes follow the same path. Open Privacy & content restrictions.

Select Account data, deactivation & deletion.

Choose Delete to begin your deletion request. This route requires a verified email address.

Complete Roblox’s identity-verification process.

Deletion does not guarantee immediate removal of every record or shared item. Roblox’s privacy policy allows it to retain certain information under retention exceptions.

Cannot sign in? Use Roblox Support

Open the Roblox Support form.

Roblox does not prescribe a particular help category here, so describe your request in your own words.

If you are exercising an applicable privacy right, open the dropdown under Type of help category, select Data Privacy Requests, then pick the subcategory you need, such as Right to be Forgotten. Roblox documents that path for people in jurisdictions that offer privacy rights.

Explain that you want Roblox to delete your account.

Select Submit to send the request.

Complete any verification Roblox requests.

Roblox tells you to reach out through the support form when you cannot log into your account or need assistance deleting it, whichever category you pick.

The support form works in a browser across devices, so no download is required to use it. It is also an option when you can sign in but need assistance with deletion.

Deactivate your account for a break

Want a reversible option? Deactivation disables your account and hides its profile, although some information can remain visible. Logging in to Roblox.com reactivates it.

Deactivation leaves you with a way to return to the account. Choose it when you want the account disabled and its profile hidden while keeping the option to reactivate by logging in.

To deactivate, open Settings using the website or mobile app route above.

Select Privacy & content restrictions.

Open Account data, deactivation & deletion.

Choose Deactivate.

If deactivation does not work, contact Roblox Support for assistance. If you want account deletion instead, choose Delete in the same settings menu.

Request deletion of a child’s account

Parents or guardians can request deletion of an under-13 child’s account or personal information through Roblox Support.

Open the Roblox Support form.

Explain that you are the child’s parent or guardian and specify whether you want the child’s account or personal information deleted.

Select Submit to send the request.

Appeal a denied privacy request

If Roblox denies your request and the US State Privacy Policy Addendum’s appeal provisions cover you, take these steps.

Appeal availability depends on the law that applies to you. The addendum’s appeal route is for residents covered by its state-law provisions.

  1. 1.Identify the decision you want to appeal.
  2. 2.Email [email protected], stating that you are appealing that decision.
  3. 3.If Roblox denies the appeal, use the relevant state regulator complaint link in its US State Privacy Policy Addendum.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I request Roblox account deletion by phone?

Yes, if the applicable provisions of Roblox’s US State Privacy Policy Addendum cover you. Call (888) 858-2569, specify deletion and the scope of your request, and complete identity verification. Roblox can require submission through your account as part of this process.

Can I email Roblox to delete my account?

Yes. Roblox lists [email protected] as a US privacy contact for personal-information or account-deletion requests. Email starts a request; it does not instantly delete the account. Follow your region’s designated procedure where it takes precedence.

Can someone submit a deletion request on my behalf?

Residents covered by the US State Privacy Policy Addendum’s authorized-agent provisions can give an agent written, signed permission. The agent uses Roblox’s designated support-form or telephone process. Roblox can also require direct identity verification from you.

Do I need to download anything to delete my Roblox account?

No download is required. You can submit the request through the Roblox website or the browser-based Roblox Support form.
