This 4TB drive sits well below its 30-day average of $1068.46 and its 90-day average of $1196.59, making it one of the sharper discounts on a PCIe 5.0 SSD in recent months. The heatsink model is typically priced for workstation builders, so hitting $900 on a 4TB Gen 5 drive with these read speeds changes the math for anyone planning a high-end build.

What You're Getting

The SN8100 pushes sequential read speeds up to 14,900MB/s and sequential writes up to 14,000MB/s, with random performance exceeding 2,300,000 IOPS on the 4TB model. The custom anodized aluminum heatsink delivers silent, fanless cooling with RGB lighting in the lowest profile among PCIe 5.0 drives with LEDs.

Endurance is rated up to 4,800 TBW on the 8TB model, and the 4TB benefits from TLC 3D CBA NAND for sustained write performance under heavy workloads.

Who This Is For

This is for anyone building a PCIe 5.0-capable workstation who needs 4TB of primary storage without compromising on speed. Video editors working with 8K ProRes RAW, AI model training on local datasets, and gamers who want game-level load times below two seconds will see real gains.

If you are on a PCIe 4.0 platform, you will still get backward-compatible performance, but the full speed advantage requires a Gen 5 slot.

Final Verdict

At $899.99, this matches the kind of pricing you would expect during major sales events, except it is sitting here on a regular day. If you have a Gen 5-capable motherboard and need 4TB of fast, reliable storage for creative or gaming workloads. This is the price to move on.
