What You're Getting

The TCL 98-inch Class S5 delivers 4K Ultra HD resolution at four times the detail of 1080p. A 120Hz panel refresh rate keeps fast action smooth, while Motion Rate 480 with MEMC frame insertion pushes motion clarity further.

Wide Color Gamut and a High Brightness Direct LED backlight produce punchy, vibrant images. HDR ULTRA covers Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG for broad format support.

Google TV is built in, with Google Assistant and Alexa compatibility through the included voice remote.

Who This Is For

Anyone setting up a dedicated home theater or large living room who wants a massive screen without spending over $2,000. This is also a strong pick for sports fans who want that 120Hz motion handling for fast-moving games.

If you need Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ support in a 98-inch panel at this price, there is not much competition. Skip this if you insist on OLED black levels or need HDMI 2.1 for next-gen console gaming at 4K 120Hz.

Final Verdict

For $569 less than its recent average, the TCL Class S5 98-inch delivers an enormous screen with solid HDR support and smooth motion handling. If you have the wall space and want a big TV now, this price makes the decision easy.
