What You're Getting

The Sennheiser HD 599 delivers an open-back design with Sennheiser's signature sound profile. You're getting a frequency response of 12 to 38,500 Hz with 50 Ω impedance and 106dB sensitivity. The package includes a 9.8 ft (3.0 m) cable with a 6.3 mm stereo standard plug. These headphones prioritize natural sound reproduction over noise isolation, making them ideal for critical listening sessions.

Who This Is For

Best for: audiophiles and music enthusiasts who value sound quality over portability. These work well for home listening setups where you can appreciate the open-back design's soundstage.

Skip these if you need noise isolation for commuting or office use, or if you prefer wireless convenience.

The Caveat

The open-back design means sound leaks in and out, making these unsuitable for public spaces or shared environments. The wired connection requires a dedicated audio source with proper amplification for optimal performance.

Final Verdict

At $118.75, the Sennheiser HD 599 offers exceptional value for anyone building a serious home listening setup. The $51.54 discount makes this a smart buy if you've been waiting for a price drop on quality open-back headphones.
