What You're Getting

This is LG's 2025 QNED85A series with Mini LED backlighting and the Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen 2. That chip adapts picture and sound to whatever you are watching in real time. The set delivers 100% Color Volume with Dynamic QNED Color technology, and the Precision Dimming controls individual Mini LED zones for deeper blacks and punchier highlights. You also get a native 120Hz refresh rate for sports and gaming, plus Filmmaker Mode that preserves the director's intended color and frame rate.

It ships with Alexa built-in and supports Wow Orchestra for pairing with compatible LG soundbars.

Who This Is For

Best for: buyers who want Mini LED picture quality with AI-driven processing at a price that undercuts most competitors by a wide margin. This works well for mixed-use households that watch movies, stream sports, and game on the same TV.

If you need a 65-inch set with strong HDR performance and smooth motion handling, this fits. Skip it if you require Dolby Vision IQ or if HDMI 2.1 bandwidth for 4K/120Hz VRR gaming is a non-negotiable, check the LG C-series OLED for that.

Final Verdict

The QNED85A brings LG's best Mini LED tech and AI processing to a price point that is tough to beat for a 65-inch panel. If you want strong brightness, accurate colors, and smart upscaling without stepping up to OLED pricing. This is the play right now.
