What You're Getting

The LG G5 OLED evo runs on the Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen 2, which handles AI Picture Pro and AI Super Upscaling to sharpen lower-resolution content in real time. The Brightness Booster Ultimate pushes luminance 45% higher than the previous generation, and the panel handles bright rooms well thanks to Perfect Black and Perfect Color across 8.3 million self-lit pixels.

Gaming specs include a 0.1ms response time, up to 165Hz refresh rate, four HDMI 2.1 inputs, and full support for NVIDIA G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium, and VRR. Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and Filmmaker Mode round out the package.

Who This Is For

Best for: anyone upgrading from a 2022 or older OLED who wants the latest brightness improvements and AI processing. Also a strong pick for gamers who need HDMI 2.1 across multiple inputs and sub-1ms response times.

Skip this if you already own a 2024 LG G4 -- the jump is smaller year-over-year unless you specifically want the Gen 2 processor.

Final Verdict

The G5 is LG's brightest OLED to date, and at $1399.99 it undercuts its own recent pricing by a meaningful margin. If you are ready to buy now. This is the price to move on.
