What You're Getting

The Kingston XS1000R packs 2TB of storage into a pocket-sized frame that fits in your palm. It pushes read speeds up to 1050MB/s over USB 3.2 Gen 2, making it fast enough for video editors or photographers moving large files on the go. The red colorway sets it apart from the sea of black drives, and the compact design means it won't weigh down your bag.

Who This Is For

Best for creatives, remote workers, and anyone who needs a fast, portable backup drive that slips into a pocket. If you're juggling 4K footage or RAW photos and need quick transfers between machines. This is the kind of gear that saves you hours.

Skip it if you need Thunderbolt speeds or don't regularly move files larger than a few gigs.

Final Verdict

A $105 savings on a 2TB drive that hits 1050MB/s is a solid reason to upgrade your portable storage. If you've been waiting for the XS1000R to drop below $280. This is your window.
