For just $742.05, below its 30-day average of $874.79. Over the past 90 days, this configuration has averaged $878.58, and looking back six months shows an even higher $890.22 average. That makes today's price a meaningful drop from what gamers have been paying recently.

What You're Getting

The HP Victus 16 packs an AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS processor paired with NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3050 GPU featuring 6GB of dedicated memory. The 16-inch IPS display runs at 144Hz refresh rate with Full HD resolution, delivering smooth gameplay without ghosting or lag.

You get 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM across two accessible slots, plus a 512GB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD that offers significantly faster performance than older SATA drives. HP's Dynamic Power and Graphics Switcher automatically optimizes performance based on your workload, and the system runs Windows 11 Home out of the box.

Who This Is For

Best for: Entry-level gamers and students who need a capable laptop for both work and play. This configuration handles modern games at 1080p with medium to high settings, plus it's sufficient for productivity tasks and content consumption.

Skip this if you need maximum ray tracing performance or plan to play the latest AAA titles at ultra settings.

The Caveat

The RTX 3050 is an entry-level gaming GPU, so temper expectations for cutting-edge titles at maximum settings. Storage is adequate but not generous at 512GB, though the M.2 slot allows for easy upgrades.

Final Verdict

At $742, the HP Victus 16 delivers legitimate gaming capability at a price that undercuts many competitors. For students or casual gamers who want smooth 144Hz gameplay without spending over $1,000, this deal makes sense.

Wait if you need more GPU power or can hold out for deeper holiday discounts.
