For just $2099, below its 30-day average of $2316.27. Over the past 90 days, this configuration has averaged $2157.87, making today's price competitive with recent lows. The discount puts it within reach for gamers who need top-tier performance without paying launch pricing.

What You're Getting

The AORUS 17X delivers desktop-grade gaming performance in a portable package. You're getting NVIDIA's RTX 4080 laptop GPU with 12GB GDDR6 memory, paired with Intel's 13th Gen Core i9-13980HX processor that boosts to 5.6GHz. The 17.3-inch QHD display runs at 240Hz with 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, certified by TÜV Rheinland for eye comfort. Storage comes as a 1TB Gen4 M.2 SSD with 16GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM, plus Windows 11 Pro and Intel Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.

Who This Is For

Best for competitive gamers and content creators who need maximum frame rates and color accuracy. The RTX 4080 handles 1440p gaming at high refresh rates, while the i9 processor manages streaming and video editing workloads.

Skip this if you prioritize battery life or ultra-portability, as the 17-inch chassis and high-power components trade mobility for performance.

The Caveat

The 16GB RAM configuration may feel limiting for some professional workloads, though it's upgradeable. At this price point, some competitors offer RTX 4090 configurations, though typically at higher price brackets.

Final Verdict

For $217 less than its 30-day average, this AORUS 17X delivers premium gaming specs at a more reasonable entry point. If you need a 17-inch gaming laptop with RTX 4080 performance before summer gaming season, this price makes sense.

Wait if you can hold out for potential Memorial Day sales or want to see next-gen mobile GPU announcements.
