What You're Getting

The Electro-Voice Everse 12 packs serious audio performance into a compact, weatherized design. You get a 5 dB increase in SPL over the smaller Everse 8 model, with deep bass output that handles demanding audio needs. The speaker features extended 12-plus hour battery life, Bluetooth true wireless stereo connectivity, and onboard mixer controls. EV's patented SST (Signal Synchronized Transducers) ported waveguide enhances low-frequency extension while delivering even coverage across all frequencies. The companion QuickSmart Mobile app provides wireless control for audio adjustments, effects, and mix functions via smartphone or tablet.

Who This Is For

Best for: Mobile DJs, wedding and event planners, outdoor performers, and venue operators who need reliable portable sound. This speaker works well for small to medium-sized gatherings where running power cables isn't practical.

The Caveat

While the Everse 12 offers impressive power for its size, it's still a single speaker system. For larger events or stereo setups, you'll need to pair multiple units or consider larger PA systems. The weather resistance is designed for typical outdoor conditions but isn't fully waterproof for extreme environments.

Final Verdict

At $999, the Electro-Voice Everse 12 delivers professional-grade portable audio at a price point that undercuts its recent average by nearly $100. For mobile performers and event organizers who need reliable, weather-resistant sound without power constraints, this discount makes a compelling case to buy now rather than wait.
