For just $199, below its 30-day average of $292.53. The 90-day average sits at $284.43 and the 180-day average at $281.51, so this $199 price point is a genuine outlier on a monitor that only launched recently.

What You're Getting

The VG27AQM5A packs a 27-inch QHD (2560x1440) Fast IPS panel with a 300Hz refresh rate and 0.3ms GTG response time. ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB Sync) eliminates ghosting and tearing simultaneously, which matters for competitive shooters where every frame counts.

Shadow Boost pulls detail out of dark areas without blowing out bright spots, and the DisplayWidget Center lets you tweak settings with a mouse instead of fumbling with on-screen menus. It ships with a DisplayPort cable, power adapter, quick start guide, and warranty card.

Who This Is For

Best for competitive PC gamers who want 300Hz refresh rates and sub-millisecond response times without paying $400-plus for a comparable spec sheet. Also a strong pick for anyone moving from 1080p to 1440p who wants a single monitor that handles both fast-paced esports titles and modern AAA games.

Skip this if you need 4K resolution or HDR600-level brightness for content creation work.

The Caveat

The 0.3ms response time is achievable under ideal conditions, and real-world performance will vary depending on your GPU and the game you are running. No built-in USB-C input means laptop users may need an adapter.

Final Verdict

A 300Hz QHD Fast IPS panel at $199 is the kind of price that usually requires waiting for Black Friday. If you need a high-refresh gaming monitor now. This is the deal to lock in.
