What You're Getting

The ROG Strix G16 runs on an Intel Core i7-14650HX paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU built on the Blackwell architecture with DLSS 4 and Max-Q support. The 16-inch FHD+ display runs at 165Hz with a 3ms response time and uses an ACR film to improve contrast and cut glare.

You get 16GB of DDR5-5600MHz memory and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. Cooling is handled by ROG's Intelligent Cooling system with a vapor chamber, tri-fan setup, and Conductonaut extreme liquid metal on the chipset. The chassis includes a 360-degree RGB light bar that can be switched off in Stealth Mode for professional settings.

Who This Is For

Best for: gamers who want a 16-inch screen with a fast 165Hz panel and the latest-gen RTX 5060 GPU without jumping to the $1500+ tier. Also a solid fit for anyone who needs a laptop that can handle creative workloads during the day and gaming at night.

Skip this if you need a 4K display or prefer a thinner, quieter ultrabook chassis -- this machine leans into gamer aesthetics and thermal performance over portability.

Final Verdict

The RTX 5060 and Core i7 combo at $1299.99 puts this ahead of last-gen RTX 4060 machines still hovering around the same price. If you want current-gen GPU performance and a screen that keeps up with competitive titles. This is the one to grab now.
