How To Solve Unresponsive Back And Home Buttons Problem On HTC One M7

HTC launched its powerful and feature-packed smartphone, the HTC One M7, in 2013. With top-notch components, this smartphone is also popular for its excellent design. The extremely thin and flat-bodied phone is all screen with a 4.7-inch display. The capacitive Back and Home buttons are placed just beneath the screen, and some users are having problems with these two buttons. Specifically, they are having an unresponsive Back and Home buttons problem on HTC One M7. According to these users, these two buttons sometimes work well, but oftentimes, they become unresponsive.

If you use a screen protector, then that may be the cause of the unresponsive Back and Home buttons problem on HTC One M7. If you do not use a screen protector and are having this problem, then it’s a software issue. HTC will release a software update to fix this issue, but in the meantime here are some steps that you can try in order to solve the problem temporarily.

Potential solutions for unresponsive Back and Home buttons problem on HTC One M7

 

Home Buttons Problem

1. When you are having this unresponsive button issue, tap Lock, and then unlock it again. Next, tap the touch screen and try the buttons once again. Now they should be responsive.

2. Open Settings on your phone > Language and Keyboard > HTC Sense input > Advance > Calibration tool, and use a very light touch to calibrate. Now you will find that the Back and Home buttons are little more responsive than before.

3. By going to Settings on your phone, you can turn on Vibrate Feedback to make sure that you are touching the buttons correctly. To do that open Settings > Sound > Voice Feedback.

By following the above steps you can fix unresponsive Back and Home buttons problem on HTC One M7 temporarily and wait until HTC releases an update with the fix.
