Google is accelerating its enterprise AI push through simultaneous partnerships with two major IT services providers this week. Accenture and HCLTech both announced expanded collaborations within days of each other, targeting different but complementary aspects of AI security and adoption.
The consulting firm announced its expanded partnership on March 11, focusing specifically on AI-driven cyber threats ranging from hyper-personalized social engineering to autonomous malware. The collaboration combines Google's Security Operations platform with Accenture's cybersecurity capabilities to help organizations move from reactive defense to proactive business resilience.
"Agentic AI isn't just reshaping cyber defense strategies, it's redefining how we secure operations," said Rex Thexton, chief technology officer at Accenture Cybersecurity.
The company will also deploy Wiz across its cloud footprint internally to identify and resolve risks faster.
Just one day later on March 12, HCLTech revealed its own expanded collaboration focused on accelerating Agentic AI adoption across industries. The Indian IT giant plans to expand its Google Cloud-certified workforce from approximately 12,000 professionals to more than 35,000 over the next three years.
HCLTech's partnership targets over 2,000 GenAI-led customer engagements and will use Gemini Enterprise and Gemini models to build custom AI agents for clients worldwide. The company currently maintains over 23,000 Google Cloud-trained experts and reported consolidated revenues of $14.50 billion for the twelve months ending December 2025.
The timing suggests a coordinated strategy by Google to strengthen its enterprise offerings through key partners. While Accenture focuses on securing organizations against increasingly sophisticated AI-powered threats, HCLTech concentrates on helping enterprises adopt and implement Agentic AI solutions at scale.
The consulting firm brings significant security credentials to the table, having been recognized as the highest Leader on the Everest Group Cloud Security Services PEAK Matrix® Assessment 2025 out of eighteen service providers. It has also been named Google Cloud Global Partner of the Year for three consecutive years.
Both partnerships highlight the growing importance of specialized expertise in enterprise AI implementation. As organizations grapple with both the opportunities and risks presented by advanced AI systems, they're increasingly turning to established providers who can deliver production-ready solutions while managing security concerns.
The dual announcements come as enterprises face mounting pressure to adopt AI technologies while simultaneously protecting against their weaponization by malicious actors.
According to Kevin Ichhpurani, President of Global Partner Ecosystem at Google Cloud, "Our partnership with Accenture further strengthens our ability to deliver cloud security offerings and provide customers with a solution." For HCLTech, the expanded collaboration establishes a structured program designed to accelerate clients' GenAI and Agentic AI adoption while cultivating champions across the organization.
