Capturing what's on your OnePlus 13 screen is a breeze, and you have a few different ways to do it depending on what feels most convenient in the moment. Whether you're saving a game clip, a funny chat, or an important confirmation, one of these methods will get the job done.
Press the Power and Volume Down Buttons
The classic method works perfectly on your OnePlus 13. Just press the Power button and the Volume Down button at the exact same time, then let go. You'll see a quick flash on the screen, hear a shutter sound, and a small preview thumbnail will pop up in the corner. You can tap that preview to edit or share right away, or just let it vanish and the screenshot will save to your gallery automatically.
Swipe Down with Three Fingers
This is the signature OnePlus gesture and it's incredibly fast once you get the hang of it. Simply place three fingers anywhere on the screen and swipe down in one smooth motion. The screen will capture instantly. I find this is the easiest method when you're reading an article or browsing and don't want to fumble with the physical buttons.
If this doesn't work, you might need to enable it. Go to Settings > Additional settings > Gestures & motions and make sure Three-finger screenshot is toggled on.
Use the Quick Settings Tile
Swipe down from the top of your screen twice to open the full Quick Settings panel. Look for a tile that says Screenshot. If you don't see it, tap the pencil edit icon to customize your tiles, then drag the Screenshot tile into your active panel. Once it's there, you can tap it anytime to take a capture without touching the buttons or using a gesture.
Take a Screenshot from the Recent Apps Menu
This is a handy method if you're already switching between apps. Swipe up from the bottom and hold to enter the recent apps overview. You'll see all your open apps as cards. At the bottom of each app card, you should see a Screenshot button. Just tap it to capture that specific app window. It's a clean way to get a screenshot without any notification bars or other clutter.
Ask Google Assistant
When your hands are full or the buttons are awkward, you can use your voice. Just say, "Hey Google, take a screenshot." Your OnePlus 13 will capture the screen immediately. You can also activate Google Assistant by holding the power button or swiping from a corner, then type the command. The screenshot saves directly to your gallery.
Capture a Long Scrolling Screenshot
For capturing entire webpages, long documents, or chat histories, the scrolling screenshot is a killer feature. First, take a regular screenshot using any method. In the preview thumbnail that appears, tap the icon that says Scroll capture or has arrows pointing down.
Your phone will automatically scroll and capture more of the page. You can keep tapping that button to extend the screenshot as far as you need. When you're done, you'll have one seamless, long image. This works brilliantly in Chrome, WhatsApp, and most other apps.
Edit and Annotate Right Away
That little preview thumbnail is your gateway to quick edits. Tap on it before it disappears to open the built-in editor. From here, you can crop the image, draw on it with different colors, add text, or use a highlighter. There's also a blur tool which is perfect for hiding sensitive info like phone numbers or addresses before you share.
When you're done, tap the share button to send it directly through any app, or tap save to commit your edits to the gallery.
Find Your Screenshots Later
All your screenshots are neatly organized. Open the Google Photos app and go to the Library tab. You'll see a Screenshots folder there. Alternatively, you can use the OnePlus Gallery app if you prefer it, which will have its own Screenshots album.
For file management, you can find the actual image files in your device storage. Using a file manager, navigate to Internal storage > Pictures > Screenshots. They're standard PNG files, so you can move, copy, or delete them like any other photo.
