How To Enable Do Not Disturb Mode On Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+

There are two methods to turn the Do Not Disturb mode on and off: the Quick settings panel and via Settings. Both ways are simple. But one is faster than the other.

To enable Do Not Disturb mode, go to Settings and tap the Do Not Disturb option. Toggle the button next to it to turn on the feature.

Do you want to do it even faster? Swipe down on the screen of your Galaxy S9/S9+ to open the Quick settings panel. Find and tap the Do Not Disturb icon and tap it. To turn it off, repeat the same.

Once you enable the Do Not Disturb mode on your Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+, it will mute all alerts like phone calls, email notifications, reminders, and more. Alternatively, you can also create a schedule according to your regular activities.

Set a schedule on Do Not Disturb

It is pretty simple to turn it off when you no longer need it. But what if you forget to disable it? When that happens, you may miss some critical phone calls, email notifications, or alarms in the morning.

You don’t want to have Do Not Disturb enabled 24/7, do you? For example, you may only need to mute the phone while having family time on the weekend. Why don’t you create a schedule? When you set a schedule on Do Not Disturb, it automatically turns on and off.

Steps to set up a schedule on Do Not Disturb

1. Open the Settings of your Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+

2. Select Sounds and vibrations

3. Tap the Do Not Disturb option.

4. Tap the Turn on as a scheduled option. Here, you can set the schedule based on your needs.

5. Toggle the Turn on as scheduled button to enable it.

How To Customize Do Not Disturb On Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+

The exception option distinguishes the Do Not Disturb feature from silent mode. When you enable silent mode, it will mute all the sounds on the phone. However, the Do Not Disturb feature allows you to customize what notifications you wish or do not wish to receive.

Steps to customize Do Not Disturb features on Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+

1. Go to Settings

2. Tap Sounds and vibrations

3. Select Do Not Disturb

4. Tap the Allow exceptions option. Here, you will be given some choices. To customize it, choose Custom. You can allow specific contacts to call you by tapping the Calls from option and adding their number.

The most interesting is the Repeat callers option. If you enable this option, whoever calls you using the same number more than once within 15 minutes, the phone will be unmuted for that caller. The Do Not Disturb feature will detect it as an emergency call.

When you enable the Do Not Disturb mode on the Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+, all sounds and vibrations will be muted, including alarms and reminders. If you don’t want to miss appointments or other reminders, create exceptions by tapping the button next to the Alarm and Reminder options.
