> Verify that your account is in good standing with your carrier, and you are getting the correct data service or plan.First identify the possible causes of the Samsung Galaxy S5 contacts issue, and then you can try the below steps for fixing the problem:

1. Check with the service provider and ask about the coverage of the area where you are facing this problem, especially if the Samsung Galaxy S5 contacts issue occurs in a specific location. Please check to see if you have the correct APN settings

2. Go to the Wifi settings and make sure that it is turned off or disabled. When your phone is connected to a wifi access point, your phone will not connect to the mobile data network.

To check the Galaxy S5’s wifi settings tap Menu from Home screen > Settings > Connections > Wifi. Turn it OFF if you see that it is ON. If you have not updated your Galaxy S5’s software, navigate to settings>About>Update

If still the problem does not solve after following the above steps, then try the below steps:

> Turn Synchronization ON for one of your accounts.

To do that touch Menu> Settings > Accounts and then touch the account type which has the contacts that you want to sync with your Galaxy S5. Then tap Sync contacts to mark the checkbox. Now your phone will start syncing the contacts. Tap Back to exit the sync settings.

> Try to look for contacts in your Phone Call log. To do that touch Phone at the Home screen and then touch Logs at the top of the screen.

If still the problem persists, try to edit the contact information so that it will display correctly on your Galaxy S5.

  1. I want to block Unavailable calls. I have blocked Unknown calls, but the Unavailable calls are still coming through. Please Please please set up an upgrade to fix this problem. I have gone through all the necessary procedures to stop Unavailable but it hasn’t stopped them…just Unknowns????? Please fix this issue.

    1. To block Unavailable calls, you can download Mr. Number app which is available at the Google Play Store. This app will automatically disconnect calls from unavailable callers.
      After downloading and installing the app go to Settings > Call block > Blocklist > Block These numbers > Add more to list > and touch “All blocked/private numbers”.

  2. Some times the car could be reading the contact list from the sim card only and nowhere else. If this is the case thenyou have to import all your contacts to the sim card and your car will pick them up from there.
