How To Fix Samsung Galaxy S5 Contacts Issue

This content is written to help the Samsung Galaxy S5 users who have been facing issues with their phone contacts. The problem is that some users cannot locate the phone numbers and names of their contact viewing the recent calls.

There might be several reasons for the Samsung Galaxy S5 contacts issue. Here I am listing down the possible causes of this problem and then will discuss about the solutions. The reasons are:

> Your Service provider for your Samsung Galaxy S5 does not provide a call ID.

>Conflicting network connection.

>Your phone data is turned off or disabled, and you have set your phone toNot use data when roamingwhile you are out of station.

>Poor wifi network.

>Network outage.

>Syncing online is disabled or turned off.

>Incomplete information is saved for your contact.

>Your Galaxy S5 software needs update.

> Verify that your account is in good standing with your carrier, and you are getting the correct data service or plan.First identify the possible causes of the Samsung Galaxy S5 contacts issue, and then you can try the below steps for fixing the problem:

1. Check with the service provider and ask about the coverage of the area where you are facing this problem, especially if the Samsung Galaxy S5 contacts issue occurs in a specific location. Please check to see if you have the correct APN settings

2. Go to the Wifi settings and make sure that it is turned off or disabled. When your phone is connected to a wifi access point, your phone will not connect to the mobile data network.

To check the Galaxy S5’s wifi settings tap Menu from Home screen > Settings > Connections > Wifi. Turn it OFF if you see that it is ON. If you have not updated your Galaxy S5’s software, navigate to settings>About>Update

If still the problem does not solve after following the above steps, then try the below steps:

> Turn Synchronization ON for one of your accounts.

To do that touch Menu> Settings > Accounts and then touch the account type which has the contacts that you want to sync with your Galaxy S5. Then tap Sync contacts to mark the checkbox. Now your phone will start syncing the contacts. Tap Back to exit the sync settings.

> Try to look for contacts in your Phone Call log. To do that touch Phone at the Home screen and then touch Logs at the top of the screen.

If still the problem persists, try to edit the contact information so that it will display correctly on your Galaxy S5.
