Android 4.4.2 KitKat is the very latest software to run on the Galaxy S4. It has come with lots of features and improvement. The Galaxy S4 users have already installed this new version in their android phone and enjoying the extra added features. Though this is the improved version, but still it is not free of bugs. Black lock screen

Black lockscreenis a common issue that users are facing after updating the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The screen will become black, and there won’t be any responses as you swipe the phone to unlock. This problem can be solved by turning off the personal message. To do so, move to Setting > Lock screen > lock screen widgets > clock/personal message > clock.

Apps are deleted

The other bug is lost apps. Some apps are getting lost after installation of android 4.4.2 KitKat. This problem can be resolved only by re-downloading the missing apps.

Poor battery

Some users have noticed that battery life became very poor as they installed the new Android version while some others have said that battery life has been improved due to the new version installation. The reason of this poor battery life might be some specific apps presented in your phone. There are some apps that eat more battery. So you need to find out that apps and delete them. The other option is Factory reset which will delete all the data, and you have to download all the apps again.

Email Sync

Cracked contact list

The contact list may be broken as you install the Android 4.4.2 KitKat in your Samsung Galaxy S4. You will get back the previous contact list by turning off and on the contact sync. Head to settings > Account > email Account > options and turn off the contact sync. Again turn it on after few seconds. Your contact list will be recovered.
