Why This Matters

The flame effect can run with or without heat, so the unit can provide a visual focal point in any season while the heating function remains off. The brightness is step-less adjustable, letting you tune the glow to the room rather than accept a single fixed level.

What You're Getting

This electric stove offers two heat settings at 750 or 1500 watts with an adjustable thermostat, and the heated air releases from the front. It includes artificial logs and built-in adjustable lighting levels and flame settings. Safety features include automatic safety shutoff and thermal overload protection, with tip-over protection and a top that is cool to the touch. The unit measures 16.25 inches wide by 11 inches deep by 21.5 inches high and is listed for spaces up to 216 square feet.

Who This Is For

This fireplace is aimed at people who want a portable, freestanding plug-in heater. It suits someone heating a small area rather than a whole room, and the listing names the home, garage and workplace as settings. The adjustable thermostat and two heat settings let you match output to conditions.

Final Verdict

At the listed sale price, this Winston Porter model is a reasonable consideration for a small-space supplemental heater with a decorative flame effect. The safety shutoff, tip-over protection, and cool-to-the-touch top are useful safeguards. Before buying, check whether the stated coverage suits your room.
