Messaging app WhatsApp has announced improvements to some of its existing features. The company said it is working on enhancing its Polls feature, giving users the option to create single-vote Polls where participants can choose only one of the options. Users will need to toggle off the ‘Allow Multiple Answers’ option to access this feature. The update also allows users to search for polls in chat threads and get notifications when people choose options.

In addition to this, WhatsApp is also introducing a feature that will let users forward images with captions. Currently, only the image gets forwarded, but the new update will add captions automatically while forwarding images. Users will have the option to edit or remove the captions before hitting the Send button. The update will also let users add captions while sharing documents, which is currently not possible.

The update has started rolling out in a stable version and is expected to expand to everyone in the coming weeks. Last month, WhatsApp added a new feature that allows users to use the same WhatsApp number on four additional companion devices, including smartphones. With these improvements, WhatsApp aims to enhance the user experience and make the app more user-friendly.
