  1. If I followed all of these steps and simply pushing the home button still pulls up Google Now almost every time, what can I do?

    1. I had to reset my phone. What really bugs me, is I reset my phone a few months ago and turned everything off, and for a while it was working fine. Then, recently, Google managed to squeeze in an update and Google assistant started launching the home button again. AAHHH! It’s maddening! So, I reset my phone again and am back to normal, but I’ve since disabled everything from Google in the hopes that I can stop this intrusive app from over taking my phone. Unfortunately, since everything seems to be tied to the Google Play, I need to figure a way to enable that while keeping all things Google away.
