Every button of an iPhone is needed to run your phone properly. Such as the Home button is required to navigate through the device, the importance of Volume button is known by everyone, and of course the power button is used to switch off and turn the phone on. But sometimes any button can be damaged due to dust, humidity or any other reason and might stop working. If the case is with power button that is if the power button is damaged and stops responding, then how can you switch off and turn on iPhone or iPad? There is a simple and quick solution to this issue. Follow the methods below to run your iPhone with a damaged power button.

Process to switch off and turn on iPhone, iPad with a damaged power button

> Go to settings first.

> Select General and tap Accessibility.

> Scroll down to find out the section INTERACTION and select AssistiveTouch.

> A new window will be opened. Swipe the AssistiveTouch options to make it ON.

> You will notice a white circle with a grey box. Click on the circle and expand it to a big-box screen.

> Select Device.

> Press and hold the Lock Screen till a red and white color power icon is appeared on the screen and there will be a text as ‘Slide to power off’.

> Slide the icon right to switch off the iOS device.

So you can easily switch off the device but to turn it on you need to connect your iPhone or iPad devices to the main power source with the charger or with a USB port in any computer. Wait for a second and the phone will be turned on automatically. As the apple logo appears, you can disconnect the charger.

So, even though your power button stops working, but you can easily switch off and turn on iPhone, iPad with a damaged power button.
