Samsung And LG Completely Dispenses 3D For Future TV Sets

It seems that 3D TVs were not successful. Although it’s unfair to accuse LG and Samsung that haven’t prevented such an outcome, 3D TVs were never very practical, compared with the classics ones.

For years, the 3D technology was a fad that marketing departments from dozens of companies were under the impression that they can put forcibly in the consumer’s head and reflexes. Not only that for years the strategies to force 3D technology into consumer’s habits have failed, but it seems that once the idea seemed to have died, a new identical trend was born.

In this regard, a few years ago, LG and Samsung have said that 3D TVs were like a bet with the market, that is worth doing it. Forwarding to 2016, 3D TVs sales were so disappointing that the two giants have decided to pull out the production of the fantastic devices.

According to a report provided by the South Korean site ET News, it seems that Samsung hasn’t placed any order with external suppliers for 3D glasses. This could be a sign that TVs with the same technology could soon be on the dead line. Samsung doesn’t sell 3D TVs without glasses launches, so the sign is clearly possible.

Also, the other South Korean electronics giant, LG, is apparently following the same tactic. He made the same South Korean publication that will eliminate 3D technologies from the next variations of TVs, except the premium models. Even so, the giant’s move means a 50% reduction in the availability of the 3D technologies provided by LG.

It seems that the main reason behind this “unique” functionality of future TV models from South Korea, is the uptrend represented by 4K TVs, that tends to gradually monopolize the market. In this sense, it’s also possible to see TVs with high resolutions, coming to increased prices, further popularizing the resolution that will inevitably replace the 1080p from today.
