When your POCO X7 Pro stops ringing for incoming calls, it can leave you feeling completely disconnected. This problem can pop up for a few different reasons, often related to the settings in HyperOS 2 or your mobile network. I'd start by checking a couple of quick things that solve the issue for most people.
The first thing to try is a force restart. Just press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds until you see the POCO logo appear on the screen. This clears out any temporary software glitches that might be blocking the phone's ability to connect to the network properly.
Next, pull down the notification shade from the top of your screen twice to see the full Quick Settings panel. Look for the Airplane Mode icon and make sure it's turned off. If it's already off, try toggling it on for a few seconds and then turning it back off. This forces your phone's modem to reconnect to the cellular network from scratch.
Check Your Do Not Disturb and Focus Modes
HyperOS has several ways to silence calls that are easy to enable by accident. Swipe down and check for a moon icon or a tile labeled "Do Not Disturb" or "Focus Mode." If any of these are active, tap them to turn them off.
For a more detailed look, go into Settings > Sound & vibration > Do Not Disturb. Here, you can see the active rules and schedules. Make sure no schedule is active and that the "Turn on now" toggle is switched off. Also, check the "Calls & messages" settings within Do Not Disturb to ensure calls aren't being allowed from "None."
Review Your Call Blocking and Spam Settings
The POCO X7 Pro's dialer app has built-in spam protection that can sometimes be a bit overzealous. Open your Phone app and tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, then go to Settings > Blocked numbers.
Scroll through this list to make sure a number you're expecting calls from hasn't been accidentally added. You can also check the spam filter settings in the same menu to see if its sensitivity is set too high, which could be flagging legitimate calls.
Verify Your SIM Card and Network Signal
A loose or faulty SIM card is a classic culprit. You'll need the SIM ejector tool that came with your phone. Gently push it into the small hole on the SIM tray, pop it out, and remove the SIM card.
Give the gold contacts on the card a quick wipe with a soft, dry cloth and then reinsert it firmly into the tray. Make sure the tray is perfectly aligned when you slide it back into the phone. Once rebooted, check the signal bars in the top corner. If you're seeing "No service" or just one bar, try moving to a different location.
The large 6000mAh battery in the X7 Pro is great for endurance, but if you're in an area with historically poor coverage, the phone might struggle more to maintain a stable call connection compared to some lighter models.
Disable Call Forwarding and Check for Carrier Issues
Call forwarding could be silently sending your calls elsewhere. To check, open the Phone app, tap the three-dot menu, and go to Settings > Calls > Call forwarding.
See if any of the options like "Always forward" or "When busy" are enabled. If they are, tap on them and select "Turn off." It's also a good idea to quickly contact your mobile carrier. You can often do this via their website or app to check for any known service outages or account issues in your area.
Reset Your Network Settings
If calls are still not coming through, resetting your network settings can clear up deeper configuration errors. Go to Settings > Additional settings > Back up and reset > Reset phone.
Here, tap on Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth. Confirm the action. Be aware this will erase all saved Wi-Fi passwords, Bluetooth pairings, and custom mobile network settings, so you'll have to reconnect to your wireless networks afterward.
Update Your Software and Clear the Phone App's Cache
Software bugs can cause notification and call delays, which has been an occasional note with HyperOS 2. Making sure you're on the latest version is crucial. Go to Settings > About phone > HyperOS version and tap the "Check for updates" button.
If an update is available, install it. You can also try clearing the cache for the Phone app itself. Go to Settings > Apps > Manage apps, find and tap on "Phone," then select Storage usage > Clear cache. This doesn't delete any personal data.
Check for Problematic Third-Party Apps
An app you recently installed might be interfering with telephony services. Think about any new apps, especially those that claim to manage calls, block spam, or optimize performance.
Try booting your POCO X7 Pro into Safe Mode. Press and hold the Power button until the power menu appears, then long-press the "Power off" option. Tap "OK" when prompted to reboot to Safe Mode. If calls work normally in Safe Mode, a third-party app is likely the cause. You'll need to uninstall apps one by one to find the offender.
Consider a Factory Reset
If you've worked through all other steps and the problem persists, a factory reset is the final software step. This will erase everything on your phone, so a full backup is essential first. You can back up to your Xiaomi account, Google Drive, or a computer.
Once backed up, go to Settings > Additional settings > Back up and reset > Erase all data (factory reset). Follow the prompts to complete the reset. After the phone restores, set it up as new initially to see if the call issue is resolved before restoring your backup data.
