Preregistrations opened this week for Pokémon Champions on Android and iOS, with The Pokémon Company International setting a June 17 launch date that turns the battle-focused spinoff into a fully cross-platform experience. The mobile release arrives roughly two months after the Switch and Switch 2 debut in April 2026. Players who link the same Nintendo Account will carry save data across all versions, and cross-platform multiplayer is supported from day one.
The game is free to play with optional in-game purchases. To drive adoption across both ecosystems, TPCI is running a limited-time campaign that hands out Raichu and two never-before-seen Mega Stones to anyone who checks their in-game mailbox between launch day and September 2. The rewards are available on Nintendo Switch and mobile alike, meaning the event functions as a universal launch celebration rather than a mobile-only incentive. The two Mega Evolutions come with distinct competitive abilities. Mega Raichu X activates Electric Surge, which blankets the battlefield in Electric Terrain for five turns, giving grounded Pokémon a 30% boost to Electric-type moves and sleep immunity.
Mega Raichu Y carries No Guard, forcing all moves used by and against it to land with 100% accuracy. The Mega Stones themselves may later appear in the in-game shop.
Pokémon Champions is a multiplayer-first title that strips away the RPG exploration of mainline games in favor of focused, strategy-driven battles. The mobile launch pairs with Regulation M-B and Ranked Battles Season M-3, giving competitive players fresh formats to dig into immediately.
Preregistration is live now on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store ahead of the June 17 global release.
