Xbox Game Pass subscribers will soon access Ubisoft's Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora through the subscription service, according to a social media tease from Microsoft. The official Xbox Game Pass account posted a GIF showing a close-up of an eye that closely resembles the Ikran mount from the 2023 open-world title.
The tease follows a strong January for Game Pass that included Death Stranding: Director's Cut, Resident Evil Village, and Star Wars Outlaws.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora originally launched in December 2023 and represents one of Ubisoft's major AAA open-world releases. The game runs on the Snowdrop engine and offers 20+ hours of main story content with an additional 10+ hours for completionists. Set between the Avatar films, players control a Na'vi character navigating the Western Frontier region of Pandora.
Microsoft continues expanding Game Pass offerings while testing new engagement features. The company is currently experimenting with a "Game Pass monthly multi-platform" Microsoft Rewards quest that grants 150 points for playing on console, PC, and cloud platforms. This limited test requires 30 minutes of gameplay on each platform and is currently available only to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
Xbox Cloud Gaming's "Stream Your Own Game" feature also expanded this month with 40 new titles, including Resident Evil Village and the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. The streaming service launched in April 2025 and has grown consistently, adding 48 titles in January alone.
Game Pass added Final Fantasy 2 Pixel Remaster on February 3, marking the third title to join the service this month and the 21st addition of 2026. The remaster is regarded by many Square Enix fans as the definitive version of the polarizing 1988 JRPG, featuring extensive rebalancing and quality-of-life improvements.
Subscribers have until February 13 to claim a free month of Webtoon Premium through the Xbox Benefits Hub. The offer includes 100 monthly credits, 10 bonus credits, ad-free reading, and a 15% shop coupon. All Game Pass tiers can access this benefit regardless of subscription level.
Microsoft's February Wave 1 lineup announcement is expected later today around 10am ET based on typical monthly patterns. The company faces mixed signals with reports of declining Xbox revenue despite strong overall Microsoft performance, following last year's controversial 50% Game Pass price increase.
