Intel's Arrow Lake Refresh desktop processors reportedly target March 23 for review embargo lift, according to multiple sources tracking the upcoming CPU refresh.

The refresh maintains the LGA1851 socket and introduces a "Plus" suffix to distinguish the updated chips from existing K-class parts.

The Core Ultra 9 290K Plus, originally positioned as the flagship SKU, has been canceled according to reports from VideoCardz and TechPowerUp. Intel reportedly dropped the chip due to product overlap concerns with existing 24-core models.

Instead, the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus becomes the top refresh SKU, shipping with 8 P-Cores and 16 E-Cores.

Arrow Lake Refresh processors raise the official DDR5 baseline from 6400 MT/s to 7200 MT/s, according to specifications leaked via @momomo_us.

The refresh arrives as a continuation of the Core Ultra 200 family rather than a new series, focusing on incremental spec changes and platform validation.

Pricing for the remaining SKUs shows aggressive positioning. The Core Ultra 5 250K Plus reportedly lists at $245, while the 270K Plus appears at $357.

KF versions without integrated graphics also remain in the lineup for users who don't need onboard video.

Intel skipped a public appearance at CES 2026 earlier this year, framing the refresh as a near-term tune-up rather than a major architectural update.

The company's decision to cancel the 290K Plus simplifies validation and manufacturing while freeing resources for Nova Lake, expected later this year.
