HP unveiled the EliteBoard G1a at CES 2026, a keyboard that contains a full Copilot+ AI PC. The device weighs 0.75kg and measures 12mm thin, making it HP's smallest and lightest AI-capable computer according to internal comparisons.

The EliteBoard G1a packs AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processors with up to 50 TOPS of neural processing power. It supports configurations with up to 64GB of DDR5 memory and 2TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage, delivering desktop-level performance in a keyboard form factor.

Two versions will be available starting in March. One features a permanently attached USB4 cable handling 65W power delivery and DisplayPort 2.1, while the other offers a detachable cable with a 32Whr replaceable battery for hybrid workers.

Enterprise users gain hardware-enforced HP Wolf Security for Business protection against firmware and quantum threats. The modular design allows IT departments to easily service RAM, SSDs, and batteries, while spill resistance and military-grade durability meet U.S. MIL-STD 810 standards.

HP's 2025 Work Relationship Index reveals only 44 percent of workers believe their technology fits their working style. The EliteBoard addresses this gap by enabling professionals to move their entire computing setup between workspaces without sacrificing AI performance.

The keyboard features a lattice-free design with full numpad, backlighting, and optional fingerprint reader. It supports dual daisy-chained 4K external displays and includes dual stereo microphones and speakers within the keyboard chassis.

HP also introduced the Series 7 Pro 4K Monitor alongside the EliteBoard. The monitor features Neo:LED display technology with 140W Thunderbolt 4 connectivity delivering 40Gbps data transfer for single-cable workstation setups.

Both products will be available on HP.com in March 2026. Pricing for the EliteBoard G1a and Series 7 Pro 4K Monitor will be announced closer to launch date, according to HP's CES announcements.

The EliteBoard G1a represents a return to keyboard computers like the Commodore 64 and Raspberry Pi 400, but with modern AI capabilities. HP positions it as a solution for flexible work environments where professionals need to maintain consistent computing power across multiple locations.
