Harman, the audio electronics giant under Samsung's umbrella, has officially acquired Roon, a renowned music player platform cherished by audiophiles for its seamless usability across diverse devices and rooms. Harman, known for iconic audio brands like AKG and JBL, aims to enhance its global commitment to delivering exceptional audio experiences.

Dave Rodgers, President of Harman's Lifestyle Division, expressed the company's dedication to creating outstanding audio experiences for partners and consumers worldwide. The acquisition aligns with Harman's strategy to further integrate its expertise into Samsung's devices, building on the collaboration since 2017.
Enno Vandermeer, CEO of Roon, emphasized the benefits of joining forces, gaining scale, resources, and the reach of a global technology leader. While Roon retains its independence for business growth, it brings its expertise in data management and consumer engagement to all of Harman's partners, including Samsung Mobile.
