The South Koreans from LG are always very competitive when it comes to their ” brothers ” from Samsung, so it should not surprise us their newest release.
LG has announced the launch of a virtual reality headset, designed for the high end LG G3. The gadget is called the LG VR and is a direct competitor to Samsung Gear VR glasses for Galaxy Note 4 developed by Samsung in partnership with Oculus VR.
However, Samsung incorporated a series of impressive Gear VR technologies, technologies that work in tandem with the processing power of Galaxy Note 4. LG satisfied with a plastic support, not high- tech, inspired by Google Cardboard, virtual reality project presented at the Google I/O conference.
Specifically, LG VR uses a series of lenses to split image for each eye to create the 3D effect and virtual reality. In short, LG VR does not differ at all from E-Boda Avatar.
The best part from LG VR G3 is actually the LG G3. Appointed the best smartphone of the year 2014 ,the terminal has a display of 5.5 inch Quad HD resolution and display resolution and quality are very important when it comes to experimenting with virtual reality.
Other specifications of LG G3 include a 2.5GHz Snapdragon processor 801, 2 (or 3) GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of storage space.
It is not yet known when the LG VR Gear will arrive in stores or at what price.
