Capturing what's on your Huawei Pura 70 Pro's screen is a breeze, and you have a few different ways to do it depending on what feels most natural to you. Whether you're saving a map location, a funny chat, or an important detail from an app in the AppGallery, one of these methods will get the job done instantly.

Press the Power and Volume Down Buttons

The classic method works perfectly on the Pura 70 Pro. Just press the Power button and the Volume Down button at the same time, holding them for a brief moment. You'll see a quick animation, hear a shutter sound, and a small preview thumbnail will pop up in the corner of your screen. You can tap that preview to edit or share right away.

Knuckle Gesture (Double Tap)

This is a signature Huawei feature that's really handy once you get the hang of it. Using the knuckle of your finger (not the fingertip), quickly double-tap anywhere on the screen. I've found you need a firm, distinct tap for it to register reliably. The phone will capture the entire screen and show the familiar preview thumbnail.

You can also use knuckle gestures for more advanced captures. Draw a circle around a specific area with your knuckle to take a partial screenshot. For a scrolling screenshot, draw an "S" shape on the screen after the initial knuckle double-tap.

Use the Quick Settings Tile

Swipe down from the top of your screen twice to open the full Quick Settings panel. Look for a tile labeled Screenshot. If you don't see it, tap the pencil edit icon at the bottom to customize your tiles, then drag the Screenshot tile into your active panel. Tapping this tile is a great button-free way to capture your screen.

Take a Scrolling Screenshot

After you take any screenshot, a menu bar will appear at the bottom of the preview. Look for the icon that looks like a downward arrow or is labeled Scroll capture. Tap it, and the Pura 70 Pro will automatically scroll down and capture the next section of the page, app, or conversation, stitching it into one long image.

You can keep tapping the scroll capture button to extend the screenshot as far as you need. This is perfect for saving entire web pages from Huawei's browser or long message threads.

Edit and Annotate Immediately

When that preview thumbnail appears, tap on it. This opens Huawei's built-in editor where you can crop, draw, add text, or blur sensitive info with a mosaic tool. From this editor, you can also share the screenshot directly to WeChat, WhatsApp (if sideloaded), or any other messaging app you have installed.

Find Your Saved Screenshots

All your screenshots are automatically saved. The easiest way to find them is to open the Gallery app. There's usually a dedicated Screenshots album right in the main view. You can also find the image files directly in your phone's storage by using the Files app and navigating to Internal storage > Pictures > Screenshots.

If you're using a different gallery app from the AppGallery, the folder path might be slightly different, but the Pictures/Screenshots location is standard.
