You open your Hitron router’s login page, but the password you expected to work gets rejected, or the page never opens. The right address and credentials depend on your model and internet provider. Start with the matching login details below, then use the recovery steps if you have lost your administrator password.

Connect to your Hitron before opening its settings

Connect your computer, phone, or tablet to the Hitron’s Wi-Fi, or connect a computer to a free LAN port using Ethernet. On the Rogers gateways listed below, Ethernet also works when the gateway’s Wi-Fi is disabled.

Enter 192.168.0.1 directly in your browser’s address bar for the listed Rogers, Cogeco, and Fizz gateways. This is also the router-mode default for ARIA3625, ARIA3626, and ARIA3629 routers; provider-customized firmware is an exception to these default instructions.

For the Hitron Americas retail D60, enter http://172.30.55.1 to open its xIQ login page. There is no universal Hitron login address or password, so match the next steps to your equipment.

Sign in with the credentials for your provider or model

Enter cusadmin in the Username field for the providers and models in this section.

For a Rogers CGN3, CGN3ACR, CGNM3552, CGN3AMR, or CODA-4582, enter password or your configured Rogers Wi-Fi password in Password.

For a Cogeco CODA-4589, enter the applicable credential in Password: Cogeco lists Cogeco1!, password, or your current Wi-Fi password.

For a Fizz Hitron modem, enter your separate administrator password in Password if you created one; otherwise, enter the Wi-Fi password chosen during initial setup.

For a Hitron Americas retail D60, enter the device-label password in Password, or your replacement password if you changed it.

For an ARIA3625, ARIA3626, or ARIA3629, enter the administrator password created during initial setup in Password.

Select Login on Rogers or Cogeco, or Sign in on ARIA.

Keep each password paired with its provider and model: password is not a universal Hitron default.

Check for a changed administrator password

On a Fizz modem, the D60, or an ARIA router, the administrator password you set replaces the original Wi-Fi or label password as the login credential. Rogers is the exception: on the Hitron CGN3, CGN3ACR, CGNM3552, CGN3AMR, and CODA modems, Rogers says you can still use your original Easy Connect Wi-Fi password to sign in after changing the modem password.

On Fizz, enter your separate administrator password in Password if you created one. The initial Wi-Fi password does not replace a later administrator password.

On the D60, enter your changed login password in Password.

On ARIA, enter the administrator password established during setup in Password.

Check your provider’s credential options above if you have been trying a combination intended for another Hitron model. Gateways sharing 192.168.0.1 do not all share a password.

If you have lost the configured password, use the reset procedure for your exact device below. Both procedures erase customized settings and require network setup again.

Reset a supported device when the login password is lost

A factory reset restores login access on the Hitron Americas retail D60 5G and Cogeco CODA-4589, while erasing customized settings.

On the D60, use a paper clip to hold the rear Reset button for 10–15 seconds. Hitron says the LEDs blink while the button is held and turn off when the reset completes.

For a Cogeco CODA-4589 instead, use a thin object to hold the recessed rear Reset button for 15 seconds.

Reconnect to your device, using the default network details on the modem label for the Cogeco CODA-4589.

Open http://172.30.55.1 for the D60 or 192.168.0.1 for the Cogeco CODA-4589.

Enter cusadmin in Username.

Enter the D60’s label password in Password, or use the Cogeco password options in the login section above for the CODA-4589.

On the Cogeco interface, select Login.

Set up your network again after the reset.

Use MyHitron+ where your provider supports it

MyHitron+ provides network management, including remote management of associated networks, when your equipment and internet provider support it. Supported deployments include CGNM, CGNVM, CODA-xxxx, and ARIA equipment, but the model family alone does not establish eligibility.

Install MyHitron+ from its official store listing; on iPhone or iPad, use the listing published by Hitron Technologies Americas Inc.

Create a MyHitron+ account.

Sign in with that account.

Follow the app’s onboarding prompts to associate your supported equipment with the account.

For a provider-branded deployment, use the app designated by your broadband provider.

If that deployment enables provider single sign-on, sign in with the credentials supplied for your broadband service.

Follow your provider’s onboarding prompts.

Older MyHitron+ instructions using third-party accounts have been superseded by MyHitron+ account authentication.

Give your Fizz modem a separate administrator password

Once you have access, separate your modem-settings login from the Wi-Fi password used during initial setup.

  1. 1.Disconnect existing app sessions as instructed by Fizz.
  2. 2.Sign in at 192.168.0.1 with Username set to cusadmin and your initial Wi-Fi password in Password.
  3. 3.Open Administration > Manage.
  4. 4.Confirm your existing password.
  5. 5.Create a separate administrator password.
  6. 6.Use that administrator password for later modem-interface logins.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use WPS to bypass the Hitron administrator password?

No. WPS establishes a Wi-Fi connection; it does not authenticate you as the router administrator.

Does Rogers Easy Connect recover an existing administrator password?

No. On the Rogers CODA-4582, Easy Connect sets up the network after a factory reset. Connect to the Wi-Fi network identified on the back label, then complete Easy Connect to establish a network name and password.

Why does my retail CODA or CODA56 show modem status instead of router settings?

Retail CODA and CODA56 devices are standalone cable modems. Their interface provides System Information, DOCSIS WAN, and LAN Port Status rather than Wi-Fi router settings. Interface access requires firmware 7.3.5.0.1b2 or later.

Can I install firmware myself to enable the CODA or CODA56 interface?

No. Hitron says cable-modem firmware is tested and distributed by your internet provider. Contact your provider about supported firmware deployment.
