How to generate Apple app-specific password

To generate app-specific password, follow the steps below:

  • Open the browser of your choice and go to appleid.apple.com
  • Enter your Apple ID and your password
  • Click on the option “Generate Passwords” located under Security section
  • Next, you will have to enter a label for the app-specific password
  • Click on the option Create
  • Copy the password
  • Now open the app for which you need the password and paste the password into the dedicated field

 

You can access the list of your passwords at any time. Here is how to do just that:

  • Open the browser of your choice and go to appleid.apple.com
  • Enter your Apple ID and your password
  • Click on the “Edit” option located under the Security section
  • Click on “View History” under the App-Specific Passwords section
