Spotify Wrapped missing, frozen, or refusing to load? Before you start reinstalling anything, check the date: Spotify’s 2025 Wrapped stories became unavailable after January 16, 2026. Here’s how to find your existing top songs playlist and tackle Spotify loading problems without chasing an expired experience.
Check whether Wrapped has ended
If you’re looking for your 2025 Wrapped stories in September 2026, the campaign is over. No setting, reinstall, or account action can bring those stories back.
As of September 9, 2026, Spotify has not announced a 2026 consumer launch date, eligibility rules, or access paths. Check Spotify’s Wrapped announcements before treating missing seasonal content as an app fault.
If the rest of Spotify works, start with your playlist below. Continue with app troubleshooting when Spotify itself freezes, fails to load, or has connection problems.
Find your top songs on the right account
Your existing personalized playlist is separate from the animated stories, and availability depends on whether your account received it.
- 1.Open Spotify and select Search.
- 2.Search for Your Top Songs 2025, or the name of another existing personalized playlist.
- 3.For another place to look, open Search > Made For You.
- 4.If you’re using the wrong account, open your profile picture > Settings and privacy, scroll down, and select Log out.
- 5.Sign into the account you used for listening.
- 6.Repeat the playlist search in Search.
Restart Spotify when the app freezes
Restarting addresses an unresponsive app, not expired stories.
On an iPhone with Face ID, open the app switcher by swiping up from the bottom and pausing. On an iPhone with a Home button, open it by double-clicking that button instead.
Swipe the Spotify app preview upward to close it.
On a Pixel phone, open Settings > Apps > See all apps > Spotify.
Tap Force stop.
Tap OK to confirm. Other Android manufacturers use different app-settings paths.
Open Spotify again.
Restore Spotify’s internet connection
Online content cannot load while Spotify is offline. Open your profile picture > Settings and privacy > Data-saving and offline.
Turn Offline mode off if that control is available.
Test whether other apps and websites load. If they also fail, the connection needs attention.
Try another Wi-Fi network or cellular data with allowance remaining. For a school or workplace connection, the network administrator can confirm whether Spotify is restricted.
Install the latest Spotify update
Follow the steps for your phone, then reopen Spotify to test it.
- 1.On iPhone or iPad, open the App Store and tap My Account or your photo.
- 2.Select App Updates.
- 3.Tap Update beside Spotify when an update is listed.
- 4.On Android, open the Google Play Store, search for Spotify, and open its listing.
- 5.Tap UPDATE when offered. If no update button appears, continue to the final step.
- 6.Reopen Spotify and test the content that failed to load.
Clear the cache and make room
Next, clear Spotify’s cache. Open your profile picture > Settings and privacy > Data-saving and offline > Storage.
Tap Clear beside Clear cache.
Remove unnecessary downloads if storage is running low. Spotify recommends keeping at least 1GB free.
Reinstall Spotify and check for reported problems
Use a reinstall for persistent app faults after the simpler checks fail. You’ll need to download your offline music again afterward.
On iPhone, hold the Spotify icon to open its menu.
Select Remove App.
Tap Delete App.
On Android, uninstall through Settings > Apps > Spotify > Uninstall. Labels vary by manufacturer.
Reinstall Spotify from the App Store or Google Play Store.
If loading still fails, test your account on another supported device. Successful playback elsewhere helps isolate a problem with the original app or device.
Use Spotify’s web player to test ordinary playback and account connectivity. That test does not establish that interactive Wrapped stories work in a browser.
For a connection that still fails, open your device’s Settings and switch Wi-Fi off.
Wait 30 seconds.
Switch Wi-Fi back on.
Check your remaining cellular data allowance before testing over mobile data.
On a school or workplace network, ask the administrator whether Spotify is restricted.
For reported app problems, open Spotify’s Ongoing Issues support page.
Select Go to Ongoing Issues.
Search for the symptom you’re seeing.
For a matching report marked Under Investigation, select +VOTE.
Follow that report’s updates.
For an unresolved app problem, open Spotify’s Contact us page.
Select Message us.
Describe the error, device, operating system, Spotify version, and fixes you’ve tried. Support cannot restore the expired 2025 Wrapped experience.
Frequently Asked Questions
Did Spotify Wrapped require Premium?
No. Premium was not required: both Free and Premium users could qualify for 2025 Wrapped in nearly all markets, as long as they streamed at least 30 songs for more than 30 seconds each and listened to at least five different artists. Spotify has not announced the 2026 eligibility rules as of September 9, 2026.
Will changing Private Session or taste-profile settings rebuild my Wrapped?
No. These settings affect future listening treatment or personalization. They do not regenerate an existing Wrapped.
What operating system does Spotify need?
Spotify’s general mobile requirements are iOS 16.1 or later and Android 7.0 or later. Meeting those requirements does not guarantee compatibility with a particular Wrapped campaign.
Can I call Spotify to get help with Wrapped?
Spotify does not offer telephone support. Use Message us on its Contact us page or ask in the Spotify Community.
