Visibility on
Often people forget to turn on their phone’s visibility due to which they think that some problem has occurred with the Bluetooth. To turn the visibility on the go to Settings> Bluetooth> “Make this device discoverable” to “on.”
Toggle Bluetooth and Airplane mode
One of the simplest things you can do in order to put things in motion is this. Navigate to Settings, turn the Bluetooth off, wait for 15-20 seconds and turn it back on. You can do the same with the Airplane mode. Very often, this is all you need to do and the Bluetooth will go back to normal.
Check the Bluetooth on other devices
It might be possible that an older device is running some previous version of Bluetooth which might have been depreciated. To make sure that you do not encounter any problem in connecting with other phones, check if the version of another device is compatible with yours.
Restart your device
Whenever you have some issue with your phone, the solution you should opt for is a simple restart. A restart can remove a bunch of issues, and it requires just a minute of your time. So before you move to something that can be a bit more complex, restart your phone. You can also restart another Bluetooth device you are trying to connect to.
In-car pairing
Often, we pair our phones with our car, but if this isn’t working for you. In your car system try the steps listed below:
- Go to Settings > Connected Devices > Bluetooth > Open Bluetooth > Search > Press your phone’s name.
- Upon tapping on your phone’s name, if the system asks you for the pin, enter it, it and finally click on “Allow access contacts & call history” and then pair.
Forget the paired device
Another thing that works for all Android phones, OnePlus 7 included is to forget a paired device and then try to connect again. Navigate to Settings of your phone, find Bluetooth, and then find the list of paired devices. Now look for a device in question, tap on it, and choose “Forget” option. You may restart your phone, and once it is on again, enable Bluetooth and try to pair devices again.
