Clear keyboard cache

The best place to start solving this problem is by clearing the keyboard cache. To do this, go to Settings > Apps, find your keyboard app, tap on it and clear cache.

Clear app cache

If the problem occurs only when you are using a particular app, for instance, text messaging app or Facebook, clear the app’s cache. Again, go to Settings > Apps, find the app, tap on it and clear cache.

Try a third party keyboard app

There are tons of awesome keyboard apps in the Google Play Store, and many LG G3 users reported the keyboard lag problem was gone once they installed another keyboard. So, go to Play Store, look up for keyboards, and try one of them.

Factory reset

If the previous solutions didn’t fix LG G3 keyboard lag, you can perform a factory reset, but before you do that, make sure to back up everything that’s important to you because all your personal settings, apps, and files will be deleted. Follow these steps:

  • Go to Apps > Settings > General > Backup & Reset
  • If you want to restore from the Google Account once the factory reset is complete, select “Automatic” Restore option.
  • Now click on Factory Data Reset
  • If you want to clear your SD Card, then you select “Erase SD card” option
  • Click on Reset Phone > Erase Everything and tap OK.
