The Huawei P30 is equipped with a Li-Po 3650 mAh non-removable battery. That is a very big battery and it is for this reason the company made sure the phone supports 22.5W fast-charging battery technology. Your phone should be able to save up enough juice in approximately 105 minutes of charge time. If your Huawei P30 is taking hours to fully charge then there must be something wrong. Here are some of the things you can do to boost up the charging process on Huawei P30.

Close Background applications
Charging your P30 while running several background apps can slow down the charging process. When apps are running in the background the cells in your battery will lose energy through discharging. This may lower the rate at which the cells store up the energy from the charge. This can damage the battery and the charging accessories.
Check the Charger
The charger includes the charging adapter and the USB cable that you are using to charge your phone. Check the adapter to ensure that it is not broken and also check the USB cable for any broken wires that may be causing the slow charge.
Use the Right Charging Accessories
Another reason why your Huawei P30 might be charging slowly is that you are using the wrong charging accessories. It is advisable that you only use the adapter and the USB cable that your phone came with. Changing to a different set of accessories may slow down the rate which the battery gains charge. It can also cause permanent damage to the battery. If the problem still persists then you should consider buying a new charging cable and adapter. Only buy accessories provided by Huawei failure to do so may also lead to other problems. Ensure that you only go for accessories that are compatible with your phone’s charging system and should only be bought from a Huawei retail shop.
Check the charging Port
After confirming that everything is okay with your charging accessories also check your charging port to ensure that it is working. Charging ports are very delicate and any slight alteration can cause them to stop functioning. Take caution not to damage the port as you check for errors. The best you can do is just look don’t insert anything that may damage the power codes inside the port.
Check your Power Supply
This can be an issue if you are fond of charging your phone with the help of a power bank. There are different brands of power banks out there and not all are original. Some power banks may also not be compatible with your charging system and this may be the reason why your phone is taking too long to charge. Before you purchase a power bank check if it is compatible with your Huawei P30.
Charge on Airplane Mode
When airplane mode is enabled all radio transmissions on your phone are turned off. This may be a good way to speed up the charging process since the radio transmissions use up a lot of energy from the battery. Turning them off will stop the battery from discharging as you charge your phone. You should keep in mind that when your phone is on airplane mode you will be temporarily unavailable.
Do a Software Update
Having an outdated system can also affect the way your phone picks up charge. This can be as a result of the stress that the apps are putting on your battery. Outdated apps and system software are known to drain your battery very fast.
As a result, this may affect the amount of time your phone takes to fully charge. Always check for available system updates by going to Settings > System > System Update, select “Check for Updates”.
