Hilton Honors WiFi usually breaks in one of three places: the login page never opens, your room details get rejected, or the device connects with no internet. Start with the Hilton sign-in and hotel portal first. Then clear the device setting that is blocking the captive portal.
Start with your Hilton Honors sign in
This fixes stays where the free WiFi benefit is not being applied.
Open Hilton Honors and choose Join if you do not have an account yet.
If you already have an account, open Sign In, enter your Username or Hilton Honors # and Password, then choose Sign In.
Reconnect to the hotel Wi-Fi network.
Complete the hotel Wi-Fi page when it appears.
Standard WiFi is included for Member, Silver, Gold, Diamond, and Diamond Reserve members at participating Hilton Portfolio hotels. Premium WiFi is included for Diamond and Diamond Reserve members, while fees or exclusions apply in meeting spaces or at properties with resort charges.
The benefit needs a confirmed reservation booked through a Hilton channel: an official Hilton brand or Hilton Honors website, Hilton Reservations & Customer Care, the Hilton Honors app, the hotel itself, or an IATA-accredited travel agent booking through a Hilton channel. Rooms booked elsewhere do not qualify, so ask the front desk to attach your stay to your account.
Use the hotel WiFi login page
Connect to the hotel Wi-Fi network and wait for the captive portal to open. On Hilton GuestInternet-style portals, enter your Last Name and Room Number, then choose Connect.
The exact network name and sign-in fields vary by property. Use the details on your reservation and match the last name to the room record.
If the page does not open by itself, stay connected to the hotel network and open a new browser window. On Android phones, tap the sign-in notification when it appears.
Fix the Hilton WiFi page on iPhone or iPad
Open Settings.
Tap Wi-Fi.
Tap the hotel network name and wait for the login screen.
If the login screen does not appear, tap the More Info button next to the network name.
Choose Join Network.
Enter the required user name, password, or email, or accept the terms and conditions shown on the page.
Turn on Auto-Join from the network’s More Info screen if your iPhone or iPad no longer rejoins the Hilton network.
Turn off Auto-Login for that network when you want the welcome screen to appear again.
If the portal still fails, forget the network and join fresh.
Forget and reconnect on your device
This fixes saved hotel Wi-Fi settings tied to an old captive portal session.
On iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro, open Settings.
Go to Wi-Fi.
Tap Edit.
Tap the More Info button next to the hotel network.
Choose Forget This Network.
Tap Forget.
Rejoin the hotel Wi-Fi network and complete the sign-in page again.
On Android or Pixel, open Settings.
Go to Network & internet, then Internet.
Touch and hold the network name, then tap Forget.
Turn Wi-Fi off and back on.
Tap the network name.
Tap the sign-in notification and accept the terms.
Handle privacy address and Private Relay problems
Use this when the hotel Wi-Fi remembers your device by network address, but your phone or computer presents a private address. Use it when iCloud Private Relay or IP tracking protection stops the captive portal from working.
Install current software updates first. Leave private addresses on when the hotel network supports them.
On iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro, open Settings, go to Wi-Fi, tap Edit if you are not connected, tap the More Info button next to the Hilton network, tap Private Wi-Fi Address, then tap Off. On iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and visionOS 2 or later you pick from Off, Fixed, or Rotating. On earlier versions, switch Private Wi-Fi Address off instead.
On Mac, open the Apple menu, go to System Settings, then Wi-Fi, choose Details or the More Info button next to the Hilton network, then choose Off from the menu next to Private Wi-Fi Address. On macOS Sequoia 15 or later that menu offers Off, Fixed, or Rotating. On earlier macOS versions, switch Private Wi-Fi Address off instead.
For iCloud+ on iPhone or iPad, go to Settings, then Wi-Fi, tap the More Info button next to the network, and turn off Limit IP Address Tracking.
For iCloud+ on Mac, open the Apple menu, go to System Settings, then Network, then Wi-Fi, choose Details next to the connected network, and turn off Limit IP address tracking.
Check Windows WiFi settings
Use these Windows fixes when your laptop sees the Hilton network but will not connect, will not open the portal, or connects with no internet.
- 1.On Windows 11, select the Network, Sound, or Battery icons on the taskbar to open quick settings, make sure Wi-Fi is on, select Manage Wi-Fi connections on the Wi-Fi quick setting, choose the Hilton network, then select Connect. On Windows 10, select the Network icon on the taskbar, choose the Hilton network, then select Connect.
- 2.Open Settings, go to Network & Internet, then Airplane mode, and make sure Airplane mode is off.
- 3.Forget the saved network from Settings, then Network & internet, then Wi-Fi, then Manage known networks, select the Hilton Wi-Fi network, choose Forget, and reconnect.
- 4.On Windows 11, open Get Help and run the Network and Internet troubleshooter. On Windows 10, go to Start, Settings, Network and Internet, Status, then Network troubleshooter.
- 5.If the captive portal still fails after IP or DNS trouble, open Taskbar Search, type command prompt, choose Command Prompt, select Run as administrator, approve Yes, then run netsh winsock reset, netsh int ip reset, ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew, and ipconfig /flushdns.
Use Mac diagnostics and renew your address
Click Wi-Fi in Control Center or the menu bar.
Choose Wi-Fi Recommendations when it appears.
Press and hold Option while clicking Wi-Fi in Control Center or the menu bar.
Choose Open Wireless Diagnostics.
Restart the Mac from the Apple menu, then Restart, if the network is connected but pages still will not load.
Renew the hotel-network IP address from the Apple menu, then System Settings, then Network, then Wi-Fi, then Details, then TCP/IP, then Renew DHCP Lease.
Wi-Fi Recommendations is not available for personal hotspots or some enterprise networks.
Turn off apps that block captive portals
VPN, firewall, DNS, ad blocker, and security apps stop hotel sign-in pages from loading correctly. On iPhone or iPad, uninstall the VPN or security software, restart the device, and test the Hilton Wi-Fi connection again.
On Android or Pixel, use Safe mode, then open Settings, go to Network & internet, then Internet, choose the hotel network, and test Wi-Fi. If Wi-Fi works in Safe mode, restart to leave Safe mode, uninstall recently downloaded apps one by one, and test after each uninstall.
For work, school, or otherwise managed devices, ask IT before removing security software, changing VPN settings, forgetting managed networks, or resetting network settings. Some supervised Apple networks block forgetting the network or changing Auto-Join.
Reset settings or ask the hotel to refresh access
Use a network reset only after the easier fixes fail. It removes saved network settings and affects VPN, APN, adapter, or saved Wi-Fi information depending on the device.
On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings, then General, then Transfer or Reset [device], then Reset, then Reset Network Settings.
On Android or Pixel, go to Settings, then System, then Reset options, then Reset Bluetooth & Wi-Fi, then Reset settings.
On Windows 11, go to Start, then Settings, then Network & internet, then Advanced network settings, then Network reset, then Reset now, then Yes. On Windows 10, use Start, then Settings, then Network & internet, then Status, then Network reset.
If resetting does not fix Hilton Honors WiFi not working, contact the hotel through Hilton Honors app in-stay messaging, use Hilton Help Center chat, call +1-800-4honors, or ask the front desk to verify your last name and room number, reset room or device authorization, or provide the correct access code.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does Hilton WiFi connect but say no internet?
The hotel portal has not completed authorization, the device has stale Wi-Fi details saved, or the device needs a fresh IP address. Forget the network, rejoin it, and complete the sign-in page again.

What Hilton Honors tier gets free WiFi?
Standard WiFi is included for Member, Silver, Gold, Diamond, and Diamond Reserve members at participating Hilton Portfolio hotels. Premium WiFi is included for Diamond and Diamond Reserve members.
Who should I contact if my correct room details are rejected?
Ask the front desk or contact the hotel through Hilton Honors app messaging. You can also use Hilton Help Center chat or call +1-800-4honors for Hilton Honors support.
