How to fix Galaxy Note 9 Bluetooth issues

Solution 1: Toggle Bluetooth

No matter how simple this looks, sometimes it is all it takes for you to do. Turn off the Bluetooth, wait for a couple of seconds and turn it back on.

Solution 2: Restart your device

The next thing for you to do is to restart your Samsung Galaxy Note 9. A simple restart can help you get rid of various issues, because it will refresh the memory of your device, and it will also shut down a bunch of processes and apps that keep running in the background. Give it a shot.

Solution 3: Clear the cache

Another thing you can do is clear the Bluetooth cache. Here is how:

  • Navigate to Settings
  • Tap Apps
  • Find Bluetooth
  • Tap Clear cache

Solution 4: Remove paired devices

When you navigate to Settings of your device, tap on Bluetooth and turn it on, you will list the list of all devices you previously paired with your Galaxy Note 9. It would be wise to remove all of them, and then pair your phone with the device you want. Sometimes, there can be some interference issues that can cause additional ones and prevent pairing. So, once you go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn the Bluetooth on, tap on the Settings icon that is located next to each paired device. Now tap Unpair. Do this for all devices.

When you are done, try connecting your Note 9 with a Bluetooth device.

Solution 5: Update the software

If you want the best performance, new features, and security patches on your Note 9, then you should make sure that you have the latest software version. Here is how to update the software on your Note 9:

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap Software update
  • Now tap Check for updates

If there is a new version, follow the instructions on the screen to download and install the update.

Solution 6: Reset network settings

When you are experiencing issues with Wi-Fi, cellular data, or Bluetooth, this can help you fix it. It is because all of the network settings will be restored to factory defaults. Here is what you need to do:

  • Go to Settings > General management
  • Tap Reset
  • Now tap Reset network settings
  • If needed, enter your PIN, pattern, or password
  • Tap reset to Confirm

Solution 7: Factory data reset

If none of the solutions listed above didn’t make any difference, perhaps it is time for a factory data reset. A factory reset will erase everything on your device, so you should back up all of your data. What’s more, this will restore all the settings to factory defaults. To perform a factory data reset, do the following:

  • Navigate to Settings
  • Tap General Management
  • Now tap Reset > Factory data reset
  • Scroll down, tap Reset
  • Now tap Delete all
  • If needed, enter your PIN, pattern, or password
  • Tap Confirm

Once the process is completed, you should not restore your data right away. First, see how the phone works in general and see if it is able to connect to Bluetooth and pair with other Bluetooth devices.
