How to disable and/or delete Match account

If you no longer want to use your Match account, you can disable it and delete it. It is up to you. We will show you both the processes. If you go for the first one, it will deactivate your account, and you can go back and use it again. Deletion is the answer if you want to remove the profile for good. Let’s see how to disable and delete the Match account without further ado.

How to disable your Match account

Deactivating your Match account is very simple. But before doing that, make sure you cancel all subscriptions if you have any. Now, here is how to disable your account:

• Open your preferred browser, go to the Match website and log in
• Click on the Profile tab
• Click on the gear icon in the top-right corner to open Settings
• Now find Change/Cancel Membership and click on it
• Enter your password.
• Click Continue Cancelation
• Click on Cancel Membership and Remove profile

You will receive a confirmation email. After disabling your account, you won’t be displayed to other Match users. However, if you ever change your mind and want to use the account again, you must log back in. Keep in mind that the account will be deleted if you don’t come back within two years.

How to delete a Match account

Perhaps you want to delete your Match account permanently, and if that’s the case, follow the steps below:

• Open your preferred browser, go to the Match website and log in
• Click on your profile photo in the top-right
• Now click on Manage My Subscriptions
• Click on Suspend your account
• Click on “To cancel your account, click here” to confirm your action.

If you do this, your account will be deleted within 24 hours, but do not log in during that time.
