After purchasing your device, be it Android or iOS, it usually comes with a default name. This name usually corresponds with the device model you have purchased or a generic brand name. While leaving it as it is is not a problem, it may be hard to distinguish your device from others when searching for your device through a hotspot and Bluetooth. By changing the name of your device, you could give it a personal nickname or a different label. This would help to distinguish your device from the rest. Hence, we will cover the steps to change the name of your iOS or Android Device.
