Canceling Canva depends on who bills you: Canva, Apple, Google Play, or PayPal. Start with the place that handled the purchase, then follow that cancellation path all the way to the confirmation screen. Here are the current ways to stop the subscription.
Cancel Canva from your billing settings
This fixes Canva Pro, Canva Pro Lite, Canva Teams, Canva Business, and other plans billed directly by Canva.
Log in to the Canva account that owns the paid plan. From the homepage, select your account profile. Open Settings, then choose Billing. In Japan, choose Contract period instead.
Find your plan and select Cancel plan. Choose Continue cancellation. Select the reason you want to cancel, then choose Continue cancellation again. Add an explanation when Canva asks, or skip it when the screen allows.
Select Cancel subscription. Check your email for Canva’s cancellation confirmation.
Switch to the right Canva team
The most common reason the cancel option is missing is that the paid plan belongs to a different Canva team than the one currently open.
Go back to the Canva homepage and select your profile icon. Under Teams, select the current team name to see your other teams. Switch to the team that has the subscription.
Open your profile icon again and go to Settings, then Billing. In Japan, use Contract period. Choose Cancel plan. Select Continue cancellation.
Choose a reason and select Continue cancellation again. Finish with Cancel subscription.
For Canva for Teams, only owners and administrators can cancel. Canceling an existing Canva Teams plan is permanent because Teams is no longer available for new sign-ups or upgrades.
Cancel Canva on iPhone or iPad
Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. Tap your name at the top of the screen. Select Subscriptions. Tap Canva.
Choose Cancel Subscription. Scroll down if you do not see the button right away. When there is no Cancel Subscription button or a red expiration message appears, the subscription is already canceled. Use this path only when Canva was purchased through the App Store or appears under your Apple subscriptions.
Manage an Apple billed Canva plan from a computer
Apple’s web path is account.apple.com, then Cancel a subscription. Sign in with the Apple Account used for the Canva purchase and follow the onscreen cancellation instructions.
On Mac, open the App Store app, click your name or Sign In, then open Account Settings. In Subscriptions, select Canva and choose Cancel Subscription.
On Windows, use Apple Music or Apple TV. Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, choose View My Account, sign in, go to Settings, select Manage next to Subscriptions, find Canva, choose Edit, then select Cancel Subscription.
Older iTunes for Windows is only for older iTunes installations. Use Apple Music, Apple TV, or account.apple.com for the current Windows route.
Cancel Canva through Google Play
This applies when you bought Canva through Google Play on Android. You need to be signed in to the Google Account that holds the Canva subscription.
On Android, open Google Play subscriptions. Select Canva. Choose Cancel subscription and follow the instructions.
You can also cancel from the Google Play Store app on Android. Google Play subscriptions cannot be canceled inside the Canva app, so use the Play Store app rather than Canva.
Tap your profile icon. Open Payments & subscriptions. Choose Subscriptions. Select Canva.
Tap Cancel subscription and confirm. From a browser, go to Google Play subscriptions. Choose Manage next to Canva. Select Cancel subscription.
Pick a reason in the confirmation pop-up. Choose Continue. If Canva is not listed, switch to another Google Account and check subscriptions again.
Cancel a PayPal automatic payment
Use PayPal when your Canva charge is coming through a PayPal automatic payment, billing agreement, subscription, or recurring payment.
Go to the PayPal website and open Settings. Choose Payments. Open Subscriptions and saved businesses or Automatic Payments. Select Canva or the merchant tied to the Canva charge.
Cancel the automatic payment. If the PayPal method does not stop the charge, contact Canva Support with the account email, what went wrong, a copy of the invoice, and any PayPal payment details shown on the charge.
Pause Canva instead of canceling
Use pause when you want a temporary break from Canva instead of ending the plan.
- 1.Log in to the correct Canva account or team.
- 2.From the homepage, open your account profile, then go to Settings and Billing.
- 3.On your plan, select Cancel plan, then choose Continue cancelation.
- 4.Select I want to pause my subscription, then choose Continue cancelation.
- 5.Choose Pause for 3 months.
Pausing is available for some Canva Pro, Canva Teams, and Canva Business monthly or annual plans. It stops charges for three months, then the plan automatically resumes.
iOS App Store subscriptions cannot be paused, so cancel those through the App Store instead.
Contact Canva when charges continue
Use support when you cannot access the paid account or team, cannot complete cancellation, or still see charges after canceling.
Go to Canva Support and log in when you can. For a billing or cancellation request, include the email address on the Canva account, what went wrong, and a copy of the invoice. For Apple or Google purchases, include the order number or receipt ID so Canva can connect the charge to the right billing source.
Do not rely on uninstalling the app, deleting your Canva account, or removing your card as the cancellation step. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a mobile subscription. Paid users should cancel the plan before deleting the account to avoid continuing charges. Removing a card is not a substitute for canceling, and Canva may not show Remove when an active subscription has only one saved payment method.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I cancel Canva by deleting the app?
No. Uninstalling the Canva app does not cancel a mobile subscription. Cancel through Canva billing, Apple, Google Play, or PayPal based on who bills you.
Why can’t I see Canva under Apple or Google subscriptions?
You are likely signed in with the wrong Apple Account or Google Account, or Canva is billed directly by Canva or PayPal instead.
Can I cancel Canva Teams myself?
Only Canva for Teams owners and administrators can cancel. Switch to the team that owns the subscription before opening Billing.
What happens if I pause Canva instead of canceling?
When pausing is offered, Canva pauses charges for three months and then automatically resumes the plan.
