  1. My son is using my old Samsung Galaxy S5 mainly to play games. The phone has no data service per say. If he wants to play on the phone, he either uses my hotspot from my Galaxy S8 or the home WiFi. One game he plays frequently is Clash Royale. He often gets the red icon with the exclamation point and three arches behind it while he is playing. Is there a way to fix this? I have done the ping check and it comes back “unknown” but his IMEI number is good.

  2. If the OS of your phone is Android 4.4 KitKat or older then type in an incorrect PIN 5 times. You will see a button “forgot PIN” or “forgot password” appeared. Tap it. Now provide Username and password of the Google account associated with your Galaxy S5.

But if the OS of your phone is Android 5.0 or up, then you have to try other tricks as Google removed that feature in Android 5.0 Lollipop. If you have logged into the phone with a Samsung account, then visit Samsung Find my mobile website, login with the samsung account, and then use “Unlock my screen” option to remove the lock screen of your phone remotely.

  3. I want to give my old Samsung S5 to my nephew, but I don’t remember the PIN to unlock it. I had sprint, but of course, no service on it now since I got a new phone. How can I unlock it, or will he need to get service for it first? I tried wiping cache, but that didn’t help.
