There are two methods to perform factory data reset on your HTC One M7, and we are going to show you both.

Method No.1: Factory data reset through Settings

You can perform factory data reset with a few clicks, and here is how:

  • Navigate to Settings
  • Tap on Backup & Reset
  • Tap on Reset Phone and then click OK

Method No.2: Factory data reset using the hardware buttons

While the first option is super simple, it is not always possible, especially in situations when the screen of your device is unresponsive. In that case, you can use the hardware buttons. Do the following:

  • Turn off your HTC One M7
  • Press and hold the Power button and the Volume down key
  • Keep holding the buttons until you see the Android logo on the screen, release the Volume down key
  • Use the Volume down key to highlight Factory Reset, and select it with the Power button.

That is all, and as you can see, both methods are really simple.
